It was my first time trying Indian food, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! The spices were rich but well-balanced, and each dish had its own unique flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, patiently explaining the menu and making the whole dining experience enjoyable. Iβll definitely come back again!
This is my go to when I am craving Indian food. Iβve always liked their butter chicken and samosa. Yummy! Though I havenβt dined at the actual restaurant yet, I always have it delivered via either uber eats or deliver easy.
Went for lunch. Food was tasty. Service awesome. Lovely experience. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Really beautiful clean restaurant with welcoming staff . Only got takeout this time got some butter chicken and it was beautiful! So rich and creamy and very tasty,plenty of juicy chicken pieces very generous I don't usually finish everything but I ate myself sick cause I couldn't stop eating it. Also when asked for cutlery they went the extra mile to provide a lil bowl which I thought was a nice little touch. Will definitely be back again βΊοΈ
Been here a lot, I usually order the chilli chicken and it is usually a little different from time to time but normally very good, tonight it was very different to normal, very much just tasted like a hot sauce and not a gravy as such, the naan was not what it's normally like it was hard and dry, I don't like saying these things as I refer to Shalimar as pukekohe's best, I'll be back for sure thinking it was just a bad night for them. Service was very good.
Last night we had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The service provided by Gajendra was outstanding - he warmly welcomed us with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable evening, especially since my wife wasn't in the best mood when we arrived. His attentiveness and professionalism made all the difference, and we left feeling very satisfied with the service we received. The food was also amazing - everything we ordered was utterly delicious and exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients and the careful preparation were apparent in every bite. Additionally, the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant were impressive. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for their guests. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. Thanks to Gajendra and the entire staff for making our night a memorable one!"
Food was good. Flies were the problem. We spent our entire time there swatting them away. Service was pleasant but slow. No one came when we finished our meals. We had to find them to pay! What made it more maddening was that we were the only customers!
