   I celebrated my birthday dinner at Tapsi with my husband and kids, and we were looked after by the most beautiful host — and we even share the same birthday! Her customer service was truly exceptional. She explained every dish with so much care, checked in once we started eating to make sure everything was perfect, and made the whole experience feel so welcoming. What really stood out was how attentive she was. We never had to ask for anything — she made sure everything we needed was already within reach. When she noticed we were nearly done and had a little food left, she brought over takeaway containers without us even asking. Such thoughtful service! She interacted so warmly with the kids too; they absolutely adored her, and so did we. She made my birthday dinner feel extra special. Highly recommend Tapsi for both the food and the outstanding service!

   ⭐ 5/5 — A True Mediterranean Gem in Auckland! Tapsi is hands down one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Auckland — far better than many places, including Greek House in Pt Chevalier. I went for dinner with my family and left genuinely delighted by both the food and the service. We started with the mixed hummus platter, served with their freshly baked bread. That bread was unforgettable — soft and warm on the inside, crispy and golden on the outside. Most restaurants serve ready-made pita or Turkish bread, but at Tapsi you can taste the freshness and care in every bite. For mains, we ordered the mixed kebab platter and the Qozi chicken. Both were absolutely delicious. The lamb and chicken kebabs were juicy and full of flavour — even my 3-year-old ate them without any fuss, which says a lot! The Qozi chicken was incredibly tender; the meat literally fell off the bone. What truly made the evening special was the exceptional service. Our waitress was kind enough to make sure my little 3-year-old was having a good time. She gave her special attention throughout the meal, and as a parent, I genuinely appreciated that. It’s been a long time since I found a restaurant in Auckland that feels so worth visiting again and again. Excellent food, warm service, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Only one downside: they close at 9:30 PM, so we couldn’t stay longer to try their desserts and had to rush a little. But overall? Highly recommended. A must-visit for anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine.

The kebabs are grilled to perfection, and the freshly baked bread pairs beautifully with their fragrant stews and aromatic rice dishes. Vegetarian options are also plentiful and full of depth. The staff are attentive and friendly, eager to recommend their specialties or explain unfamiliar menu items.

   I visited the restaurant midweek for dinner with my friend. An Arab friend had recommended it. The atmosphere and decor are lovely. The staff are very friendly. We had chicken mandi and lamb tikka, which were truly delicious. The tea was also wonderfully made. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food, I highly recommend it.

   The restaurant is not to be confused with the takeaway which is a couple of doors away. Outstanding service and succulent food options. This humble establishment was a very pleasant culinary surprise. Brilliant staff who couldn’t do enough to ensure our absolute enjoyment.    Staff was so lovely and their service was exceptional. Wait time for our food was 10-15 mins tops. We ordered the bread and dip for entree and the flavours were amazing. I ordered the Kapsa lamb, the meat was so juicy and tender. Fell right off the bone. The broth was amazing. For dessert we had the muhallebi, it was so so light and refreshing to have after such a heavy dinner. Recommending this place to anyone and everyone ☺️

   Went with a group of friends after hearing great things about this place from others. Very authentic middle eastern dishes with great presentation. Their mains come in big portions, so it could easily be shared between two if you are a small eater. Great flavours and atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
