   Had the Journal Breakfast while I was in Auckland for work - really enjoyed it. The service was great, and the team were happy to customise the dish to my preference. The staff were super friendly too. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

   What can I say, everything about this cafe was stunning and well thought out. A truly wonderful area to enjoy a social meal with someone else. The food was exquisite and moreish, offering water as well. All areas were spotless clean and everywhere folks looked genuinely happy... A very nice customer experience.

   Really enjoyed our breakfast here, the eggs bene with fried chicken is definitely worth it. Service was fast and kind. Would definitely come back. The coffee was nice too, really good presentation.

   If you’re going just for coffee or drinks, it’s a decent choice but definitely not for dessert. The tart crust was hard and dry, and the filling was nothing more than thick, sticky jam. I wouldn’t recommend it for dessert.

   I am so disappointed with my visit at Journal cafe. Today I had brunch with my friend to catch up and was expecting a nice delicious meal but was handed a very effortless made plate of food. I was shocked because last year when I came here to eat the food was absolutely stunning and tasted amazing but the french toast was tastless and the journal breakfast was not even that good. For the price that we paid I am dissatisfied and won't be coming back. The first picture is how journals food used to look like and the second pjoto is ehat the good looks like now. the second photo the french toast was basically slapped onto the plate and looks very bland and did not taste good at all

   Have come here a few times and the food is really good - reasonably priced and good variety. The cabinet food is also really good too! Staff are friendly too. Kid-friendly with high chairs and colouring pages & pencils for the kids to enjoy.

   I have been to this cafe for the third time, the service was excellent, and the food was so delicious—the presentation of the food is so elegant, generous and luxurious. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it if you want to have a good breakfast. Well done, and keep up the good work!

   Came upon this cafe by accident and we were so glad we ended up having brunch here. The food is amazing, not too pricey and the service is excellent. Irene didn't forget us sitting outside even during the busy lunch time and served us as soon as possible. Regularly checked upon if the food was OK and if we need salt pepper or anything else. Couldn't recommend this place more and will definitely come back next time ♡
