Holy!!!! A coast hidden gem!! Went for dinner, started with the cheese and garlic bread, must be home made dough because I could not get enough of it, then had the tarragon chicken, I’ve been dreaming about it ever since, absolutely mouth watering. staff were absolutely amazing, the smiles they give, you cannot help to smile. Decided to come back to try their breakfast today and what can’t they do, coffee 10/10 and I had the smashed avocado, would go back every morning if I could. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!!

Looking for an authentic French tart. This is the place for you then! During the day, it operates as a cafe selling authentic French pastries made on premises, coffees, and a range of breakfast meal options. Big breakfast is just over $17 and would satisfy the biggest appetite. The cafe and also an ice cream parlor are open during the day, and the restaurant is open at night. We had morning tea in the cafe, plum tart, ham & cheese croissants, which were delicious and coffees in the morning. Iced coffees weren't impressive, although full of coffee flavor, they were too watery for our palate. We prefer thick and creamy consistency. At night, our group prebooked and went back for a meal in the restaurant. The food was absolutely superb! There is a wide range of starters, entrees , mains, and desserts to choose from. Including a separate pizza menu. Fully licensed, there is also a wide range of wines, available by glass or bottle and spirits, too. As I mentioned, the food was superb, 9 out of 10. Service was also good. Very friendly staff! Prices are average. The only suggestion I have is to play some soft music and dim lights in the restaurant to give some ambience. Of the 20 tables available, only 2 were not reserved, so I highly recommend you book beforehand. The cafe & restaurant is located on the main road into Orewa and across the street is the beach. We will be coming back for sure.

Right by the beach this lovely Italian restaurant has everything. Lovely Italian food, freshly baked goods and a separate ice cream parlour. The cheese and tomato bread is actually a yummy pizza.

Visited this local tonight for the first time and I have to say, we were very impressed. The food was delicious and portion sizes were great. Cannot fault Faridas at all. Was particularly impressed that they catered for vegans and were more than willing to adjust dishes to meet my vegan daughters requirements. They even had dairy free cheese. We will be back for sure.
