For me, there’s no doubt this is one of the best Asian cuisine spots in the area.”

“Golden Castle (황금성) has undergone changes since its previous name and management, so we decided to visit and see what’s new—and we were pleased with our experience! We booked a table for six on a Friday night, and despite the busy hours, service was quick. The staff were attentive to our requests and questions, and the food arrived promptly—within 10-15 minutes, even during peak time. We mostly ordered large plates to share, and there was plenty to go around. Our go-to dishes did not disappoint: the spicy chilli garlic chicken (깐풍기), sweet and sour pork (탕수육), Jjamppong (짬뽕)—a must-try for seafood and spice lovers—Jangban Jjajang (쟁반짜장), perfect for sharing, especially with guests new to Korean cuisine, and Ohyang Jokbal (오향족발), flavourful five-spice pig’s feet. The portions were generous and satisfying. Whether you’re already a fan of Korean cuisine or looking to try it for the first time, Golden Castle is a solid choice and well worth a visit!”

“Typical Chinese fast food restaurant. Their spicy chicken noodles was delicious. The large portion was really large and could be for sharing. Otherwise, you can eat it alone and be really full. Lamb soup was also tasty. They have fine texture of noodles, which can be substituted by glass or thin noodles. Prices are affordable and very generous servings.”

“I recently dined at Langkawi Restaurant in Auckland and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was bursting with authentic Malaysian flavors, and the service was warm and welcoming. I ordered the **Hainanese Chicken on Rice** and the **Banana Prawn Laksa**, and both dishes were outstanding. The **Hainanese Chicken on Rice** was a standout – the chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, perfectly paired with fragrant rice cooked in chicken broth. The accompanying sauces (ginger, chili, and soy) added layers of flavor that made every bite a delight. It’s a simple dish, but Langkawi executed it flawlessly. The **Banana Prawn Laksa** was equally impressive. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with a beautiful balance of spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors. The prawns were fresh and succulent, and the noodles had the perfect texture. Every spoonful was a comforting explosion of taste – it’s easily one of the best laksas I’ve had in Auckland. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was thoughtful, making the meal feel special. The restaurant itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. “The restaurant has been renovated and looks a lot modern. We ordered the Deep fried dough sticks with soy bean milk, Changsha stinky Tofu, Taiwan braised beef noodles, Spiced noodle with spicy beef and Saliva chicken. All very tasty and great value. The only downside for this area is the lack of parking”

She greeted and welcome us as we came in, explained the menu quite well and had a lovely chat while waiting for our order. “Does anyone remember Eagle Boys or Pizza Haven? From the 90s? This place reminds me of that style pizza. Pan base with crispy crust. I see some 1 stars. However, I didn't have that experience. The touch screen was easy to use, and I had a 10-15 min wait. It was a busy Wednesday night. - Meat lovers 8.8/10 $21.99 Large Crust had great crisp, under the topping was a thin layer of bbq sauce, which I like as opposed to a pizza that's doused in sauce. Meatball pieces are the best topping. I wish more of it was on the pizza. Blame price - Cheese pizza 7.5/10 $9.99 Small Same base as the meat lovers, nice cheese used, and nice grill bubbles on cheese.”

Even my daughters butter chicken which im usually not a fan of at all, had so much depth and more flavor than ive ever had in a butter chicken. Max, sir you are a gentleman and I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your flavors as well and for having such a friendly and inviting attitude. The food was AMAZING, this is my second time eating at this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back! I have tried the pad Thai, Tom yum, green curry, squid tentacles. The portions are massive and the prices are very cheap. I make the mistake of ordering entrees and can’t finish my main. The pina coladas are genuinely the best iv ever had and only $10!! I live on the coast but make the journey to Albany because it’s worth it :)”
