   I have known Liu and this shop for over a decade from when I used to work across the road. His shop is consistently good. There is no point driving to Auckland city viaduct for the fresh fish n chips at twice the price. Liu goes there at 5am every morning to get fresh fish for his shop, for over 10 years. The bad reviewers don’t know what good fish and chips are supposed to taste like. His oil is always fresh. These shops are getting harder to find, a master of his craft. I would confidently say this is the best fish and chip shop in New Zealand. The snapper is always incredible. Highly recommend supporting this one.

   I would not recommend their battered fish. Went there on 2 different occasions hoping for a good battered fish, because my regular takeaway was closed. Unfortunately same old watered down battered mixture and not crispy. Chips 5/10. Place needs a hygiene inspection.

   Food is great and still reasonably priced. The snapper was nice and fresh. It's just a takeaway restaurant, not somewhere you'd sit and eat.

   Complete rip off. Not consistent with the size of the fish. $18 special with 4 fish. U get small sized fish, one was the size of a potato fritter. Happened several occasions. Not worth the money. You don’t get 4 x decent sized fish. I addressed it so many times but he keeps down sizing the fish. His excuse was they were low in fish.
