“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! A few years ago I was pregnant,tired and incredibly hungry and all the restaurants were actually closing their doors, including vino. My poor husband ran up just as you were closing the doors and asked if you had anything spare he could buy for me quickly. Without hesitation you actually turned your ovens back on,chatted to my husband about life,and made me a double portion of pasta FREE of charge and said it was a gift for us and our first baby. I genuinely cried at how generous you were to a total stranger. Don’t know if you remember this at all,but it’s always stuck with us! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.”

“The food was absolutely amazing especially the lasagna, the place has such a warm and homely vibe, feels like coming home. The two Italian aunties who own the place are incredibly kind and friendly, and every dish is served with a warm smile and of course we’ll definitely be coming back again!!”

“Great take away Indian food. A good amount of chicken in the dishes and more than enough sauce for just the one lot of rice. Butter chicken is my partners go to but I enjoy this one because it's not too sweet like some of the butter chickens from the malls. Naan is made fresh in the tandoori oven. The spicy dishes could be spicier but we'll definitely be back next time we're craving Indian. The guys there are super nice too.”

“Mint Leaf is great value and good quality, they give you a larger curry than most places. Lamb Korma is my go to and consistently good. The lady sometimes comes off as a little rude on the phone but it's not her intention (maybe just limited English), they are nice people. For the price and quality, this place really is great value.”

“The Tom Kha soup was beautiful, very authentic however the Thai Basil stirfry let them down, it wasn’t authentic Thai Flavours plus they used frozen beans which isn’t ideal. Really lovely service, friendly and helpful staff. Nice place for a quick reasonable meal.”

“LOVE this place!! Food is always so freshly made and great flavours. Definitely takes me back to Thailand! If you’re a fan of fresh seafood, then you need to try the raw prawn salad. Love their curry puffs and money bags, super crunchy and comes with a really good sauce. Their sizzling plate is also amazing with some coconut rice. Service here is always so friendly, totally recommend!”

Priced a bit higher than street food/takeaway joints, it’s to be enjoyed seated dining inside the cosy traditional thai decor… Reminds me of how Thai restaurants used to feel… nowadays trendy canteen vibe is more common! “We had brunch on Waitangi Day (Thursday) and absolutely loved it. For the first time, I had a smoothie that was actually better than the ones I make at home—so thank you for that! We went back on Saturday, but this time, the smoothie had noticeably more spinach, which caused it to oxidize quicker. I don’t have a picture, so you’ll have to take my word for it—it was much darker in color and less sweet. That said, the breakfast quality was just as great as the first time.”

“Ok i firstly need to admit, I'm not easy to please these days, as i find many places just lack in quality service and overall taste and flavour. I'm happy to report this place is really nice. Wonderful friendly service and excellent quality food. We had the twice braised beef, lamb ribs, pan seared beans, chips, money bags and beef dumplings. All dishes were just as they should be. The lamb didn't look that nice but the first bite changed all that with a lovely flame grilled flavor. We'll definitely be back for more.”

Went for dinner, started with the cheese and garlic bread, must be home made dough because I could not get enough of it, then had the tarragon chicken, I’ve been dreaming about it ever since, absolutely mouth watering. staff were absolutely amazing, the smiles they give, you cannot help to smile. Decided to come back to try their breakfast today and what can’t they do, coffee 10/10 and I had the smashed avocado, would go back every morning if I could. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!!”

“Xi Ann Food Bar is a cozy, small shop that punches well above its weight. They make their own noodles from scratch, which truly elevates the dish. We highly recommend trying their cumin lamb noodles—they’re delicious, packed with flavor, and the portions are huge, easily enough to share between two people. The unique, fresh quality of the homemade noodles and the well-balanced seasoning make for a memorable dining experience. One noodle cost about 15$.”
