Wow, do yourself a favor and go here. Presentation, flavors and service all top notch. We had the French toast and the breakfast bagel, and the care and level of detail in these meals speaks volumes of the owners/managers/staff. These guys care about what they do and it shows. Best breakfast I've had in years. Keep it up
Overall, great place! The food was good, owners have taken care to really make the cafe welcoming, clean and quite sharp looking. The vibe alone is worth a visit. Food was generously portioned and tasty. Not too oily, spicy or over cooked. Coffees were made from good blends and well brewed. Highly recommend the place.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Centro Cafe in Takapuna yesterday and absolutely loved the experience! The ambience and atmosphere are so warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax. The food was beautifully presented in such a creative way, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The coffee was outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve had, thanks to the talented barista. A special mention to Sandun De Silva, the owner, for creating such a wonderful place. You can really feel the passion and care that goes into every detail here. Definitely a five-star worthy café — highly recommend to anyone visiting Takapuna!
The staff was very friendly, the food very well presented, and it was also soooo delicious. Loved the vibes and the clean restaurant. So beautiful and highly recommended!! Haha came back for more and will surely be a regular soon! Every new drink and new meal i try from this place never fails! Food always hits and tastes spectacular!
Best Belgian waffle I have had in my life. Compliments to the chef—we don’t have a cafe in Southern California like this.
I have came at this restaurant not only to enjoy a meal, but also to officially submit my resignation after spending three fulfilling months working here. Regrettably, my visa restrictions limit my length to this duration in any given establishment. Nevertheless, I must emphasize that I have never encountered a more exceptional employer throughout my professional life. If you seek an establishment that delivers exemplary service, delectable cuisine, and wholeheartedly respects and cares for its employees, then you have indeed found the right place.
Had a great experience when I went in for lunch during the week. Ordered a Cajun burger and a coffee and received both pretty quickly. The kitchen is open and you can see all the action while you wait for your food. The staff seems efficient and ready to help out. Good coffee too!
I knew I was going to leave a five star review as soon as I walked into his place. First thing I noticed was the welcoming and warm decor of the place. Very attractive, setting, and attention to detail. The second thing that became apparent was the warm, welcoming smiles and attention from the staff, who were very friendly. Was a bit chilly at 7:30 in the morning with the doors all open (could have done with the doors being closed for a few heaters on to start, but it soon warmed up whilst we were dining.). When I talk about attention to detail, it’s right down to the cast iron teapots that serves the Earl Grey that we asked for. Both the Earl Grey tea and a long black coffee were really good. We were even offered an extra teabag by the friendly staff if it wasn’t strong enough. The toilets tastefully decorated with nice dark glass mosaic tiles and very clean. The food arrived in good time. I had scrambled eggs on mixed grain toast with a side of bacon. My mother had a bagel avocado. It’s the first time she has tried a bagel anywhere. Bagels normally have a slightly tougher exterior which she struggled with initially. The attention of Staff noticed this, and immediately offered her a lighter muffin to exchange free of charge. I thought this was very kind and worthy of a mention. My plate was delicious. , I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back to try lunch or dinner.
