Aisles are wide, shelves are usually well-stocked, and signage is clear enough to help you find what you need without wandering too much. The overall vibe is no-frills, but things generally run smoothly and efficiently. Prices are sharp across the board — groceries, meat, produce, and household items all come in at the lower end, especially if you keep an eye out for specials. The fruit and veg section can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day you visit, but most of the time it’s decent. The meat section usually has a good range at affordable prices, and the bakery offers the basics like bread, rolls, and a few sweet treats. Staff are usually around if you need help, but it’s a typical Pak’nSave setup — more of a DIY experience. Most people are just in and out, focused on the shop, so don’t expect high-touch service. That said, checkout lines move fairly quickly and self-service options help if you’re only picking up a few things. The carpark is decent with a fair amount of space, though it can get full during peak shopping times, especially weekends. The location is handy too, close to other shops in the area, so it’s easy to tick off errands in one go. “I have changed over to my prescription meds pickup to Chemist Warehouse Silverdale recently as prices are way better and the stock is 5x larger than regular pharmacies. It is always busy there with plenty of helpful staff often stocking up shelves. Most know where stuff is.”

The double gusset helps contain leaks & they have many more great products like cloth pads, mini wet bags & double gusset large ones they're got many uses too. I couldn't recommend a company more.”

“Hello Darling is one of my favourite boutique stores, it stocks amazing brands, so many New Zealand made products it’s truely a store you never walk out of empty handed. The owner Clare, and daughter Kaitlin are the most beautiful souls you will ever meet and always go above and beyond to help you find the perfect something be it for yourself, or a gift for someone special. When ever I place an online order, my order is swiftly dispatched on a courier and I have it so quickly, always wrapped up so beautifully and carefully in tissue. I would recommend dropping into Millwater to have a look at her new beautiful store she has opened and to see the beautiful quality brands she stocks or just to stop in to say hi to Clare or Kaitlin. Stuff I need and then stuff I want (there is a difference!). This is definitely not like a so called "surf" shop in a mall selling surf brand fashion clothing to teenagers, this is a specialised surf, foil, sail, SUP retailer. Highly recommended.”

The furniture selection is huge with plenty of styles to choose from, and everything is well-organized in the showroom. I was really impressed by the quality. “Love this gym . The instructors know what they are doing and are super keen to help if needed . The equipment range is slowly getting better too . It’s definitely an older persons gym , I would say majority are 40 plus . But all the members are respectful with the equipment, wipe everything down and put things away . There are lots of fantastic classes as well.”

“I find Pestrol a pleasure to deal with. Their customer service is of a high standard, patient, polite, respectful, friendly & helpful. I find high standards in customer care not as common as it used to be with people not being able to focus & answer questions fully, but that is not the case here! They also include free gifts for orders over certain amounts (which I didn't know, so when my parcel arrived it felt like Christmas)!
