Wanted to donate a big bag of woman’s clothes. When I came to the back of the shop with one small bag of brand new bits and bobs, the lady out the back looked at me like I’d ruined her day. Said no she won’t be taking what I had in my car. Did take the small paper bag of things with me after a sales pitch from myself. Disappointing really.
Wanted to donate to Silverdale SPCA went in had to go to the back to find two staff members chatting. Asked if they were taking donations and got asked what it was. Ladies clothes and shoes and kids books. She said no kids clothes bring it in and Ill have a look. I said my car is just outside could you come see. She said no, I wont be bringing in my boxes of new with tags clothes and shoes and a big box of popular kids books I could have sold. It was just rude. Im offering good quality donations and expected to drag them all in so the woman could pick over them and pick and choose. Rude rude rude and 100% ungrateful. Hospice next door very grateful accepted my donations. Poor form from lady in the shop.
Very rude. The manager today was very dismissive and treated me with no respect. She exacerbated the situation by not 'hearing' me, with self-entitled arrigance and damaging my items, trying to remove sellotape with oversized scissors! So I left without buying them. The prices are ridiculous, even for the North Shore. I won't frequent this particular store again. Poor show for a charity I have supported for years!

Such a nice spot, found a pair of reclaimed jeans at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful.
