“Great vibe, food is delicious! Language can’t describe how good the dumplings are - we’ve finished them before taking the photo!”
“Chelsea is a wonderful host. Her team are upbeat and friendly and nothing is a problem to them. Love the banter and the vibe, and by the way the food and drinks go down a treat too. Thank you Chelsea”
“The service was good, the food was served fast and they were all delicious. We ordered buttermilk fried chicken, Korean fried bird burger and a Japanese slaw. The kid even got a nice activity pack. Would go back to try other items for sure!”
“Great cafe with consistently impressive coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. The team here know their craft well — every cup is smooth, balanced, and made with care. The service is prompt, friendly, and professional, making it an easy place to stop in whether you’re grabbing a quick takeaway or sitting down for a break. The space is clean, comfortable, and well-presented. Overall, a reliable spot for quality coffee and great service. Highly recommended.”
“Bloody great service. Great vibe albeit a bit quiet as we exit our COVID-19 protocols. But that means there's plenty of space and dude on the bar was happy, helpful and onto it. The space is cool. Just for a minute I let myself think I wasn't in NZ. Amy business trying to make it to the other side of Coronavirus is doing their best. I was the first customer in two days... Then a large group walked in behind me. Kudos to small business owners hanging in there.”
“Had an amazing night with friends at Shooters Snooker & Pool! The place has changed a lot since our last visit & looks Amazing. The pool tables are top-notch, the food was delicious, and the drinks were incredibly affordable. A fantastic spot for a fun evening out. Highly recommend! Five Stars !”
“5 Stars! The food here was incredible! and the service was just as good! Would recommend to everyone who is in the area!!!”
“Hubby and I ordered a Mocha and a cappuccino. I was thankful the lady taking my order was able to deliver a Mocha with less syrup than usual. The cinnamon roll was delicious as always. Service was little slower than I would expect with two staff on hand and minimal/few customers, but I'm guessing this was just an onboarding moment.”
“Great service, the lady here really cares about customers, we felt welcomed. Food and coffee are are delicious. We will come back.”
“I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. The big breakfast was so good. Usually when I see ciabatta on the menu it’s always hard to cut but omg this was the best, so buttery and so soft! The cabinet food was also great, classic NZ cream donut. I will be going back :)”
“The only thing I ever win playing lotto is bonus strike tickets, and on the odd occasion I go to the casino, I’m balling if I validate my parking. So imagine my shock when the lady behind the counter called my name and then said “we’re doing staff training, help yourself to one of the FREE drinks on the bench.” I picked up this fancy looking thing covered in whipped cream caramel drizzle. I still have no idea what it was but it made the latte I ordered look like a cup of instant coffee wearing a pretty dress. I haven’t been back since however as I’m nervous of disappointment. I hit the jackpot that day and it felt good to come out on top. I’d had a taste of the good life, and I don’t know if I could risk it and come out with only the coffee I paid for. But that got me thinking, Starbucks as a global company have a pretty questionable moral compass, and if they’re prepared to openly avoid paying tax in certain areas, then surely they’d have no problem with abusing their employees by firing them as soon as they’re fully trained and moving in the next lot… a barista sweatshop. 5 new part time staff to a machine, pumping out a non stop supply of free training coffees. They even use caramel drizzle to write secret messages begging for help. Unfortunately we’ve grown accustomed to the free training coffees, so we look the other way as Starbucks install anti suicide nets around the panini presses. Before you know it Starbucks is “employing” child labour and confiscating workers passports. We start to hear stories about the baristas that have completed their training being taken out the back and being recycled and turned into the self service kiosks for McDonald’s. Surely something must be done, how could we let these blatant human rights violations happen in our back yard! And then just as you’re about to speak up you realise that they’ve given you regular milk when you clearly stated that you needed almond milk. Honestly, how can you be expected to care about “alleged” misery and suffering when no one is respecting your lactose intolerance. And so you demand they make it again and pick up you’re free training coffee on your way out, pausing only briefly to scan your Starbucks loyalty card, it won’t be long now until you have enough points to go to the auctions and get your very own barista to take home…… But yeah, overall friendly staff, great service and decent coffee. Definitely worth a visit, especially if they have free training coffees.”
“I was there this afternoon for a quick coffee, but the friendly manager convinced me to have a snack/meal too, seeing as I was clearly eyeing the cabinet food! When I said the meals on the menu looked too big, she offered to make me a half portion, which was very thoughtful. The half portion was not only generous (it looked like a full portion) but also delicious. It was the chicken salad on the lunch menu. Fresh, and well made. The manager also offered me some honey to add to my ginger tea - She could tell my voice was hoarse and throat hurting. I really enjoyed the personalised, warm service. I was also given the wifi password without asking - I'm not sure what else I could ask for in terms of service and food quality! I've always been here for desserts after dinner (I LOVE their cabinet sweets) but this was my first lunch visit and and it was really fulfilling. Definitely coming back here! Cheers”
“I decided to try The Cut and found their lunch special. The staff was very accommodating with my preferences and allergies, I'm pretty sure the chef checked on me. I told him it was nice to get a cheeseburger with crispy bacon and while the burger was messy it as very good. I also enjoyed the side salad of spinach, cabbage and cucumber that was very good and crunchy. I didn't want potatoes usually served along side and it was a good decision. I was only able to eat half my burger before I had to leave because of my allergies. I enjoyed the other half a couple hours later after it had set and wasn't so messy and the remainder of the burger for dinner. I really enjoyed this burger and can leave Auckland sastified.”
“Beautiful views and the staff are very compensating. We walked in with no reservation and luckily it wasn't busy. I'd suggest making a booking before arriving. We only stayed for a pre dinner drink but we will have to go back again to experience the place more.”
“I can only rate the bar and the meal, as we didn't stay at their accommodation. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order at the bar. The bar was very busy, but the staff took our order and brought our drinks promptly to us. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana and were very happy with it. The serving size was more than enough, and we felt the wait really wasn't that long at all, especially considering how busy they were. I'd be happy to return again the next time I'm in Auckland.”
“The food and coffee was great, the only complaint is we could taste onion on my French toast and my mum could taste it in her pancakes but apart from that, it was good.”
“Staffs were very very kind.He informed to me how to top up the card and order. Beverage is perfect ♡ Thanks Happy new year”
“Surprisingly good, we all ordered and got our food which was presented well with great service.”
“What a great place to discover. This friendly bar and restaurant about 60 metres from Waiwera beach has the relaxed beach vibe in abundance. Inside there is a restaurant end with about 8 tables, then there is a bar area which opens into a covered outdoor area with pool table and pizza bar with wood fired pizzas. Service was friendly and functional and the business seems to be family run. Food was excellent. Best lamb shank I’ve had in ages with excellent flavours. Prawn salad was also very good. Beer was ice cold and they had a good collection of spirits as well as smoothies and non-alcoholic drinks. I think for me the relaxed atmosphere was what I enjoyed the most - like stepping into some place you’ve known all your life and instantly relaxing. Waiwera town feels a bit run down but the history with the hot pools (now closed) is interesting and it has retained its sleepy charm. If you’re going to Wenderholm consider lunch or dinner at Sugarloaf beach bar.”
“Coffee club is one of the best cafe chains. The preparation is awesome. The menu consists of mixture of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. I particularly like the club sandwich which is a must have. The vegan ciabatta is also great. This time we tried french toast and it was good. The giant fluffy pancakes are awesome. I like the way they have planned the seating area both inside and outside. Outdoor seating offers some sunshine on a sunny day. The staff is courteous and understands your order fully. Our coffee was exactly how we wanted and at the time we wanted. There is plenty of parking available around the carpark. One of the best things is their cafe membership which offers 20% discount. It is well worth.”
“FOOD IS ABSO DELISH! Highly recommend! Massive portion. Succulent chicken. I got the Chicken on salad low carb. Lots of meat and great salad selection. Everything is fresh, tasty with lots of flavour. Food was ready in great time. Clean. Tidy. I will be back!”
“Had a quick coffee and a spinach & feta muffin — both were delicious! The service was friendly and efficient, and everything was clean and well presented. A lovely spot for a quick break with great atmosphere and excellent service.”
“Excellent service. Excellent food quality. Everything here went above our expectations. Ribs, Chicken Buckets, Chicken & Waffles and Steak meals were all perfect! Outstanding jus with the steak.”
“This was one of one the better evenings out I've had in a while! The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing and tasted amazing. The service was outstanding, the servers who were looking after us were attentive, friendly, and made the visit enjoyable along with a few a laughs! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing evening on the Viaduct (or a fun evening later into the night)!”
“Amazing place! We ate here twice on our stay in NZ. Coffee was great and food was delicious! Very attentive staff. We ended up sharing a plate the second morning. Servings are generous. Thank you guys so much to adding to our amazing stay in Auckland.”
“Had a grab one voucher for a dinner for 2. Was absolutely amazing! Food was great! Not too busy! Very quick service! Definitely going back”
“Have been ordering from Miscela for a long time and will continue to do so. Excellent service and they really care. Their coffee is divine and their decaf beans are the best around. Thank you for always adding a personal touch and making us feel so valued every time we come to you.”
