   Nice pre-Tool show warm-up spot for lunch and drinks. The location is excellent — very close to Spark Arena. We arrived early, thankfully, because the place was predictably packed as showtime approached. Service was excellent, and the toilets were clean. The bar menu was limited, offering mostly fried options. The food wasn’t spectacular and the aioli sauce was blandish, but the plate of wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce was definitely a winner. The music choice was perfect for building excitement before the show. The outdoor seating area was great — large tables that comfortably fit six people, and the breeze was much appreciated on a beautiful hot Auckland day. A solid choice for passing the time before an event.

   Can't complain about the bar aspect but definitely don't order the food - no seasoning, tastes like old oil used and overly large portion sizes.

   Great location for a beer before an event. Be careful, Happy Hour was advertised. Tap Carlsberg $7 per glass , first barman charged correct price, 2nd barman tried to charge me $10 per glass. I said to him, "they should be $7" to which he teplied. Oh, were charged that before? I said yes, he replied it should be $10 because happy hour does not apply on event nights. He ended up charging the correct price of $7. Now, this is BS, this bar advertises a happy hour to get punters in, then tries to rip them because it is an event night. Repeat business is important to any business, as is positive word of mouth reviews to friends and online. I would therefore suggest, management enforce their happy hour pricing whether an event is on or not. Business 101.

   Going before an event at Spark arena, was told a 30 minute wait twice, which would work fine. After 45 minutes, we went and asked at the bar for an update and the bartender lied and said he told us it would be 45 minutes. If we had gotten an apology at the time, it would have been much better. Food was nice when it finally arrived.

   Bloody great service. Great vibe albeit a bit quiet as we exit our COVID-19 protocols. But that means there's plenty of space and dude on the bar was happy, helpful and onto it. The space is cool. Just for a minute I let myself think I wasn't in NZ. Amy business trying to make it to the other side of Coronavirus is doing their best. I was the first customer in two days... Then a large group walked in behind me. Kudos to small business owners hanging in there.
