   They do a good iced vanilla latte. I think when they make other coffee they make it a bit too hot, but everyone has personal preference! ETA: ordered a chai latte and it just tasted like straight up milk with cinnamon on top. Quite disappointing

   Great cafe with consistently impressive coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. The team here know their craft well — every cup is smooth, balanced, and made with care. The service is prompt, friendly, and professional, making it an easy place to stop in whether you’re grabbing a quick takeaway or sitting down for a break. The space is clean, comfortable, and well-presented. Overall, a reliable spot for quality coffee and great service. Highly recommended.

   The food was shockingly awful, the staff were very grumpy and did not even smile. The only positive thing about this cafe is that it was clean and tidy. The rest is terrible would not recommend to anyone, better off to go Costco for that $2 hotdog. Got an open sandwich and it looked like it was a kids meal, they also forgot my daughters meal so I had to remind a very rude staff member.

   Regular here as i can shop with my pooch at Mitre 10 and dine in here on those outdoor/mitre 10 grounds seating (pet not allowed inside cafe's indoor seating although this cafe is inside the pet-friendly Mitre10 compound). I had to add on another shot coffee added onto my ice americano as the standard made was too thin and the color looked like tea rather coffee. So order double shots (a dollar extra, see darker colour coffee in the image attached vs the tea-like colour image) if you are going for having standard coffee richness drink. Service attitude has room for improvement, need to be friendly to all not selected customer. Food selection was good though not the best but no complaints either as i appreciate the chance to have a meal with my pooch together by dining in here. Loyalty program were also relatively fast to gain a reward with points accumulation. Will continue to be regular here.

   Lady at the counter greets customers with a frown, not warm and welcoming at all, and was rude to a family dining in (something about the takeaway cup they requested that will cost them 80c, i heard her loud voice all the way from the other end of the room). I swear i saw her roll her eyes a few times too, even at me. Time to change staff at the counter, a friendlier one maybe? Although i love coming to Mitre10, I'll think twice about getting a cup of coffee.

   June 2023 Returned to this cafe for lunch. A nice selection of food in the cabinet and on the menu board. Selected from the menu board (lunch time). There is a small issue with birds populating the cafe (sparrows). In general this is a nice Columbus Cafe but the sparrows meant that Reduced my rating to a 4 star.

   I ordered coffee from here and asked for it to be really warm, as I am heat sensitive. The coffee was actually really hot and burnt the tip of my tongue. This wasn't subjective, as the cup was as hot as the other cup of coffee we ordered at "normal" temperature. When I went to ask about this, the female staff were helpful but a male staff member there rudely (raised his voice, and then implied I wasn't being truthful) told me that it was "warm" and that he made it "50 degrees". I stated that it wasn't and the other cup of coffee was just as hot. It genuinely burnt my tongue too. His comment was really invalidating. Another staff member offered to re-make it, but he intervened and offered to pour milk in it. This was fine as it was a resolution. However, I had also waited 20 minutes for this drink, whereas others got their order earlier. There was a full team working there. Overall, it was really disappointing and left me not wanting to come back. That's not how you treat people.

   The service was ok when I ordered, however when I mentioned id been given the wrong flavour the male owner argued and said that is what I had asked for. He then gave a sarcastic smile and seemed irritated while he reluctantly got the correct item. The female worker was lovely and the food and coffee was nice. Its a shame the customer service of the male has caused me to leave such a poor review

   Nice breakfast with affordable cabinet food. I appreciated that they use an oven rather than using a microwave to heat up the cabinet food. Coffee was nice, nothing special but still nice. Ambience was relaxing and the staff were pleasant at the till and delivering food. Strange how you can only access through Mitre 10 though, but I get why they’d do that.
