“Guy making coffee was great. Staff are always good here. Good gluten free options.”
“Super cozy, friendly atmosphere restaurant. A lot of options of vegan desserts and cakes. Delicious coffee and teas. Friendly and welcoming staff. One of my favourites in Auckland for coffee and dessert. Thanks! :)”
“Only popped in for a couple of things instead of driving further on into Papakura to my usual supermarket. I'll never go anywhere else. This one stop store has it all and cheap. Friendly as staff . Great butchery selection. Algud in general.”
“A great place to get a variety of specialist foods ie, keto, paleo, gluten free flour, sauces etc. Heaps of herbs, spices, teas, flours, bread making kits. They have beer making supplies, they have lots of stuff! Nice, friendly and helpful staff too.”
“Has everything you need whilst on the island.”
“Our guests on our Vintage Views tour of Auckland loved there stop here. Must do stop at Mission Bay.”
“Lovely shopping experience. There was only 1 lady and there were many many customers but she handled it so well and gave me a very pleasant time shopping there. Of course love the bras and knickers here too :)”
“Pak’nSave Ormiston is one of the newer stores around, and you can definitely tell. It feels a lot cleaner and more modern compared to the older Pak’nSave branches. The layout is spacious, the lighting is bright, and everything’s a bit more organised. It’s still got that classic Pak’nSave warehouse vibe, but it’s a lot more pleasant to shop in. The prices are what you’d expect — some of the cheapest around. If you’re doing a big shop or trying to save a bit each week, it’s a solid option. They have all the basics, and the weekly specials are usually pretty good. The fresh produce section is generally decent. Most of the fruit and veg look fresh, although just like any supermarket, sometimes you’ll come across stuff that’s seen better days. The meat section is well-stocked and usually good value. The bakery has a nice variety too, with heaps of buns, rolls, and breads ready to grab. Staff at Ormiston seem friendlier than at some other branches. If you ask for help, they’re usually happy to assist, and you’ll spot a few walking around the aisles if you need anything. Self-checkouts are there if you’re in a rush, but even the manned checkouts move at a good pace most of the time. Parking is probably one of the best parts. Since it’s in the Ormiston Town Centre area, you get a big parking lot with easy access. It doesn’t feel as chaotic as some other locations, which makes the whole trip a bit less stressful. The area around the store is nice too — you’ve got other shops, cafés, and places to stop in if you want to make it more of an outing. One thing to note though, just like other Pak’nSave stores, some items shown online might not always be available in-store. So if you’re planning your shop based on what you see on the website, maybe don’t expect everything to be there when you arrive. Overall, Pak’nSave Ormiston is a pretty good spot to do your shopping. It’s clean, newer, and has a good range of products at great prices. You still get the budget-friendly experience Pak’nSave is known for, just with a slightly nicer atmosphere than the older stores.”
“Love this place! Go to place everytime we're in Akl. You never know what you'll find, that's the best part. Prices are very reasonable and sometimes you can find interesting products you would only find in specialty shops.”
“Been coming to the store quite frequently - as well as my co-workers. It's my go-to spot for all things Korean. The store has an incredible variety of products. Staff are accommodating, friendly, and kind. Laughs with them too sometimes! Plus, they give me knowledge about the foods I'm curious about - makes it easier for me to decide, considering the variety. The store is clean, well-organized, and a joy to shop in.”
“It has different departments in-store that you need to pay in the department. It has great range of korean products and I normally buy korean bbq marinate sauce from there.”
“Enjoyed my visit a big selection of food! Sweet and savoury snacks 10/10 this will now be a regular place to visit”
“Came into Bra’s and Things Sylvia Park and received friendly helpful customer service, they helped me feel confident and assisted me with sizing and finding the perfect night time attire.”
“Laura is an incredible person to have helping you. So kind and thoughtful. Helped fit me perfectly and properly and made me feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend her. Attentive, patient, friendly.”
“Great little store, loved the prices and especially the friendly staff.”
“I love garden centres, especially those with a café. Its a large, well stocked centre and the café serves a good coffee. As a bonus...all the people were nice too. In the café their eggs and salmon of rosti stack and salmon are excellent choices, they did not skimp on the salmon. Go and enjoy.”
“I visit this place weekly and I always find treasures there. Good selection of books, nicely decorated stores, very friendly staff who are volunteer and they're always willing to chat. Please go there and support them. They also have a Facebook page.”

“Thank you so much to the Red Cross for having me and my group volunteer at your store. We had such a wonderful experience. The team was incredibly diverse, respectful, and supportive not just toward me, but toward all my group members. It wasn’t only the staff who made us feel welcome; even the customers were kind and appreciative. You all created such a positive and uplifting environment. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to be part of your work. Thank you for being so awesome!”
“"Handy spot with a good variety of stores and plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out, and well-organised for a smooth shopping experience. Perfect for picking up home supplies, electronics, or just browsing without the hassle of the city."”
“Me and my husband Aman are immensely grateful for the support we received from the Salvation Army by Heather. Their assistance was invaluable, and their patience in waiting for us to receive the smallboy was truly appreciated. Thank you for being there in our time of need.”
“A first time visit. I couldn't find two or three items. One of the staff went with me, took the items from the shelves and into my trolley. Asked if I needed something else. I had done my shopping, so thanked him. I liked the place so much, I bought a few extras.”
“Well set out, lovely friendly staff”
“The asian lady that served me was wonderful. A great deal and she made it even better. Sleeping bag and bed.”
“Pak’nSave Silverdale is a well-sized, tidy store that serves the wider Hibiscus Coast area and does a solid job of it. It’s not flashy or overly modern, but it’s practical and clean, with that familiar warehouse-style layout that Pak’nSave is known for. If you’re after low prices without the bells and whistles, it ticks the right boxes. The store is spacious and easy to navigate, even during busier times. Aisles are wide, shelves are usually well-stocked, and signage is clear enough to help you find what you need without wandering too much. The overall vibe is no-frills, but things generally run smoothly and efficiently. Prices are sharp across the board — groceries, meat, produce, and household items all come in at the lower end, especially if you keep an eye out for specials. The fruit and veg section can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day you visit, but most of the time it’s decent. The meat section usually has a good range at affordable prices, and the bakery offers the basics like bread, rolls, and a few sweet treats. Staff are usually around if you need help, but it’s a typical Pak’nSave setup — more of a DIY experience. Most people are just in and out, focused on the shop, so don’t expect high-touch service. That said, checkout lines move fairly quickly and self-service options help if you’re only picking up a few things. The carpark is decent with a fair amount of space, though it can get full during peak shopping times, especially weekends. The location is handy too, close to other shops in the area, so it’s easy to tick off errands in one go. As with other Pak’nSaves, the online listings don’t always match what’s in-store, so it’s best to go in with a flexible list rather than expecting everything to be there. Overall, Pak’nSave Silverdale is a dependable local spot. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, roomy, and delivers on what really matters — saving money. If you’re in the area and want to stock up without spending too much, it’s worth the stop.”
