   This is one of those medium sized branches. In general it's tidy and clean. However the prices here seemed higher than that from my normal Pak n Save. The food here was very good though and a blast for the entire family trying the delisio chips!

   I'm posting this here because it's become a recurring issue at Pak’nSave Ormiston. The quality of their meat has been consistently poor, turning brown and even showing signs of green discolouration, which is usually a sign of spoilage due to improper chilling or storage. We recently returned few beef packs that had a best before date of October 12, but we noticed it had already started to turn green and smelled awful two days prior. This isn't an isolated incident. My families and friends has personally seen discolored meat on multiple visits and even raised it with staff in the meat section. However, it doesn’t seem like it's being taken seriously, as spoiled meat can still be found on the shelves nearly every day. This seems to be an ongoing issue unique to the Ormiston branch. Other Pak’nSave locations we've visited maintain much better standards when it comes to their meat. It’s concerning that this store doesn’t appear to be monitoring storage conditions or product freshness adequately. With rising prices, it’s possible less meat is being sold and it’s sitting on the shelves longer but that’s no excuse. The store is responsible for properly labeling and managing expiry dates, and there's a risk these labels could be altered or extended just to move stock. Please be cautious when purchasing meat from this store. Check packaging carefully and don’t hesitate to report anything off. Food safety should never be compromised.

   Pak’nSave Ormiston is one of the newer stores around, and you can definitely tell. It feels a lot cleaner and more modern compared to the older Pak’nSave branches. The layout is spacious, the lighting is bright, and everything’s a bit more organised. It’s still got that classic Pak’nSave warehouse vibe, but it’s a lot more pleasant to shop in. The prices are what you’d expect — some of the cheapest around. If you’re doing a big shop or trying to save a bit each week, it’s a solid option. They have all the basics, and the weekly specials are usually pretty good. The fresh produce section is generally decent. Most of the fruit and veg look fresh, although just like any supermarket, sometimes you’ll come across stuff that’s seen better days. The meat section is well-stocked and usually good value. The bakery has a nice variety too, with heaps of buns, rolls, and breads ready to grab. Staff at Ormiston seem friendlier than at some other branches. If you ask for help, they’re usually happy to assist, and you’ll spot a few walking around the aisles if you need anything. Self-checkouts are there if you’re in a rush, but even the manned checkouts move at a good pace most of the time. Parking is probably one of the best parts. Since it’s in the Ormiston Town Centre area, you get a big parking lot with easy access. It doesn’t feel as chaotic as some other locations, which makes the whole trip a bit less stressful. The area around the store is nice too — you’ve got other shops, cafés, and places to stop in if you want to make it more of an outing. One thing to note though, just like other Pak’nSave stores, some items shown online might not always be available in-store. So if you’re planning your shop based on what you see on the website, maybe don’t expect everything to be there when you arrive. Overall, Pak’nSave Ormiston is a pretty good spot to do your shopping. It’s clean, newer, and has a good range of products at great prices. You still get the budget-friendly experience Pak’nSave is known for, just with a slightly nicer atmosphere than the older stores.

   Shoutout to the wonderful team and to the great manager today at 10:20am 28 Aug 23 for handling the situation very well. The system was not working properly so the credit cards were rejected. It was just by chance that the card I brought with me is a credit card. I wasn't supposed to bring home my groceries since I cannot pay. However, the staff on duty are stars, especially the manager who did not let me go home without my groceries so he made a way. Your team made my day. I was from a 12-hour stressful night shift so I was dead tired, so thank you for the effort in making things work with what you have.

   I would like to suggest something in parking area. Actually the first straight row parking should be one way only so should be no entering as people make long queues which creates jam. People just keep on waiting and the cars behind can’t even turn left when there are plenty of parking available at the back rows.

   Your staffs and manager needs to learn what “per customer” means. If 3 people walk in a group, that means each of us are a customer. You don’t go accusing us that we are purchasing over the limit which we are not. Learn to treat your customers with some respect and don’t just falsely accuse us based on our race.
