This is the site of Broadcasting House, and although plans were already under way to have it demolished the building was destroyed by fire in September 1997 after 235 Radio New Zealand staff had moved to new premises in The Terrace in July 1997. Grand schemes to build a government "palace" on the site, or to shift the Beehive there, eventually fizzled and today the space is a sculpture park.”

“We have just returned from a fantastic three weeks with Joji, on his Spirit of Rajasthan tour. It was our first visit to India, and both Joji and the tour lived up to our highest hopes. Everything was beautifully curated - each city, village, temple, palace had its unique character, and wandering town streets and markets with Joji always fascinating. We loved the spontaneity of the tour - if something unexpected but interesting presented itself, off we would go and explore. The tour guide was informative and was able to answer all of the groups questions. There is a great collectibles shop and toilet facilities.
