“My wife and I had their mee goreng last night. I had the combination meat, and she had seafood. W-O-W-! Without a doubt, the best mee goreng either of us have ever had. The portions were generous and I remember thinking when it came out; "great, I'll take the leftovers home for tomorrow's dinner", but it was so delicious, that I scoffed the lot! The bloke who served our table was really polite and attentive. Do yourself a favour, and get that mee!”

“The BEST chinese we have had in a very long time. Very authentic and yummy! Good size portions, amazing service from staff who were happy to chat and engage in conversation and a few laughs. Even went out of their way to make a special honey chicken dish which wasn't on the menu. Alcohol prices were also very good and not over priced. Had a beautiful dinner and who ABSOLUTELY recommend!!”

“I really enjoy coming here whenever I’m craving something delicious and hot. The staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and smiling when taking orders. The whole environment feels warm, inviting, and just genuinely nice to be around. The food is amazing — full of rich, complex flavours that tick every box for me. The waitresses are super kind, and even the chefs always smile and wave at customers from my experience. For the quality you get, the price is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!”

“After first reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant dining here. Well it was worth giving it a try. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We had the crispy wontons, garlic pepper chicken stir fry, coconut rice, and chicken satay. For me and my friend the portion size was perfect that I ate all of it which is surprising as most of the time cannot get through it all. We plan to go back before sadly leaving the area and do hope we receive the same service as our first time.”

“I absolutely loved the food and service—everything was wonderful! I ordered the spicy noodle dish with veggies for takeaway, and it was packed with a variety of fresh vegetables and just the right amount of spice. The prawn rolls were incredibly delicious as well. It was a quick trip here, but I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in the area!”

“Lived down the road from this place for nearly 2 years and finally decided to try it a few weeks ago. Came again tonight and was still as good as the last visit - best Thai food in town for sure! The servings were super generous and very well priced, in fact I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of seafood in our dishes too! The food also came out very quick even though they seemed quite busy. The staff were very friendly - especially the Thai girl who was especially pro! We have definitely added this place to our frequent visit list.”

“A gem in Miramar. They have some dishes that you can't find in other Thai restaurant, such as the chicken wing stuffed with minced pork and vermicelli (wow), and sum tum salad, which has sliced deep fried chicken/beef and lettuce aside (wow). Though their Tom Yum soup is very average. So I guess it depends what you order. And the bar is really good, the Lemon, lime & bitters only costs $3.”

“A hidden gem right in the heart of the city. You’ll miss it easily as it sits on the 1st floor and only noticeable from the menu and sign board which leads you up a flight of stairs. This place has been around for such a long time and it used to be a haunt with my mates during our uni days which was a couple of decades ago! A great selection of food and they don’t disappoint. What I’m impressed is that the consistency is still the same from day 1 and portion sizing is generous. They have a toilet available but you’ll need a key behind the counter and it comes with a super large keychain! Since nothing much has changed, the place is slightly run down and would definitely benefit from a little makeover.”

“I first visited this heart warming spot a year ago to celebrate my little brother's bday. Since then every mention of Vietnamese food has had me thinking about the exquisite crispy pork summer rolls, the most delectable Watermelon long island cocktail and the Pho - the Pho actually deserves its own 5 star review to be truthful, its succulent, amazingly flavorful, and its amazing flavour profile makes it feel like its good for your soul. When my brother offered to fly me down again this year for his birthday, one thing was on my mind PhoViet. And it was truly worth the wait. Walking in you often get greeted by Alex, the owner who makes you feel so welcomed and like your part of the family there. Remembers the orders of his regulars, and ensures you are always well fed. Alex greeted us and remembered me even after a year and ensured myself and my little brother had an amazing time eating truly fantastic food and enjoying amazing drinks. Big thank you to Alex and his team. I will be thinking about those summer rolls and those Watermelon long islands until I managed to get back to wellington to visit again.”

“Dining at Polemo the other night was an absolute treat. Nestled right on the waterfront, the restaurant offers not just stunning views but also exceptional food and service. The beef short ribs were a standout—so tender and flavorful they quite literally melted in your mouth. The pork belly roll was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned to bring out its rich flavours. A special shoutout to Kevin for his excellent menu recommendations, and to Kelly who is a dessert queen that panna cotta was phenomenal!”

They are real chef and the food is always a great delight. Pictures on the menu are already mouth-watering, but when you get your meal, uggh HEAVEN!! i will give them 10 stars! “One of our “go to” curry shops. Always good. Always tasty and almost always full. The family that run the place welcome you with a smile and wholesome food. I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place already. Must have been too busy eating. The goat curry is a standard (shown) and everything else is good. Don’t hesitate outside.
