Hands down the best place to eat in Wellington. We love the local vibe. Always super friendly. Always fresh! And always tastes the best! My go to is the roti wrap, my husbands is pork belly traditional noodle soup.
Great menu, swift & kind service, delicious food and this place is spotlessly clean. Good prices too. My first time here since the new owners took over and Iβm impressed. I forgot to take photos and when I remembered the plates were already empty! Excellent pork belly noodle soup and a roti Chennai.
Great food. We ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup ($19.50) and the Beef Ho Fun ($19.90). Both were excellent, standard sized meals (not too big, not too small). Unexpected surprise was lots of baby greens in the soup (see photo). Nice range in the menu, and a blackboard menu too (which I spotted too late otherwise I would have ordered the beef brisket). There's some tables to eat at. It's clean and bright. No steps at the doorway. We had no difficulty parking directly outside on street but there's not a lot of street parking. We have a new Newtown favourite.
Honestly, this is hands down the best sweet and sour pork Iβve ever eaten! And The staff is also very friendly.
A go to place on cold evenings for their soup. They offer great service and food is good. Fair price and food portion is excellent.
My favorite restaurant in Wellington. Ate here multiple times when I lived here - so many delicious options. The owner is so kind and makes sure to talk to all her guests. Such a wonderful place :)
Authentic and delicious with a separate vegan menu, lots of flavor, very accommodating as everything is made to order, fresh, and loaded with love.
The best food in Newtown! Weβve had vegan pad Thai and mee goreng and they were bomb!! 100% recommend!
A clean and tidy Mom and Popβs restaurant, certainly one of the best chinese takeaways that weβve tried. The quality of food is above your usual takeaways, in fact the deep fried wontons are the most delicious and crispy that we had anywhere in NZ. We had the Pork Belly noodle soup with generous amount of fresh bakchoy, cooked just right. And the thin noodle and pork belly are as tasty as ramen. My wifeβs mapo tofu was equally delicious. We want to go back but theyβre closed on weekends.
Good food. Quite affordable. We ordered Singapore fried noodles, prawn wonton and chicken dumplings. Everything was yummy. Highly recommend if you in Newtown.
