Ordered via Uber eats. Usually when eating from here we get takeaway and it’s always been really good. Nice food, and quick. We often get the pad Thai, basil chicken, satay chicken, roti and prawn spring rolls. Would recommend
Crispy pork with vegetables x2 Once again the pork was overcooked and dry. Prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Disappointing and a waste of money…
Lovely restaurant with a spacious and welcoming setup. You order at the counter, and meals can be enjoyed at your table or taken away. I had the crispy pork salad, which was absolutely delicious—though it came quite spicy! I didn’t think to ask about the heat level, so next time I’ll request a milder version. Definitely recommend this spot—just be sure to mention your preferred spice level when ordering!
Ubereats order absolutely awful. Crispy pork I had to feed to my dog as it's uneatable. The Pad Thai was dry as well with next to no chicken. Do not go here, the food is only fit for your animals. Plus when you complain they pretend not to understand you.
I ordered the crispy pork with mixed vege n rice with the roti and satay sauce. Pork was very dry (not the first time) and lacked… CRISP. was extremely disappointed when I came to the conclusion that half the serving was the fat and not meat which to me was inedible. Loved the roti and the satay sauce is excellent (cheers for 3 sauce servings). Nearing $40 total on just these 2 items, the main meal was a waste for me - I won’t be returning as a customer again sorry.
Fabulous staff who didn't hesitate to ask if we wanted to share as we only ordered one main and one side. Very kind and as always great food
Upper Hutt store is bad. Food is okay but expensive for what you get. Takeout service is shameful. Told 15mins from order. Turned up had to wait a further 15mins. Website wouldn’t accept payment. Don’t bother.
Had lunch here t ice now. The food was good, the ambience was ideal. Slightly expensive. I enjoyed it, all in all.
Aroy Thai Eatery in Main St Upper Hutt provide generous servings of basic, but tasty, traditional thai street food. The staff were welcoming and the prices reasonable. Atmosphere was different to a tradtional thai restaurant, but that reflects the nature of the food and did not detract from the experience. Definitely would go back.
Compared to other Thai restaurants in the Wellington region this one is good value, tasty and has great service. Mains are between $12 and $17 and entree $6 to $12... Note since the above review the restaurant has changed ownership and the main meals and entree's have gone up 20%. A meal for two adults with an entree main and coke each is about $60.
