   Terribly expensive for an average food. When placing our order, we asked the waitstaff whether four dishes would be enough for three people. His initial response was sarcastic and tinged with annoyance, though he quickly changed his tone when he sensed our reaction, assuring us it would be more than enough. When the food finally arrived, the portions were disappointingly small. At $31 per dish, one would expect at least moderate servings. The prawn dish, in particular, consisted of only six tiny prawns, and the fried rice, also $31 was barely enough for one person. Because the food took so long to arrive, we eventually left to eat elsewhere. Overall, the experience felt overpriced, underwhelming, and poorly managed. The portions were meager, the service unprofessional, and the value nonexistent. I would not recommend this restaurant, the pricing is too much. Charging $31 for a small bowl of fried rice with few meats feels indefensible.

   I went for a family dinner. There was another family whose kids were noisy and the other family showed no respect for others. Too loud. Waiter apologised when we were leaving the restaurant however, made no effort to ask the other family to calm down or be polite. Food was expensive. Some dishes came be sone better. Crispy duck was soggy. Had more vegetables on a meat dish than meat for the price. Overall, below average experience at the restaurant.

   Friday arrived 8.10pm Was told if we can eat by 9pm and be gone they will help us. We agreed. At 8.59pm we were told Times up, times up by the male serving us. The “times up”was not done in an amicable manner it was shouted across from a table he was cleaning. We were fully aware that it was a minute to 9 and just as we were getting up he shouted this to us. I said we are leaving now and will not be back. The lady serving was pleasant and apologised for his rudeness however there are so many restaurants around we do after a long week need to be treated like that. I’m sure another restaurant will appreciate our money more.

   First time to Top Taste for about 5 years. Great selections on entrees and mains. Our family of 4 enjoyed 3 entrees shared, the Wontons, Pork buns and duck triangles. Mains were very nice too, but if you want to get to a dessert then order the small main. They do offer take home containers too, and these are recyclable. Desserts of cheesecake, ice cream and sorbet were also enjoyed.

   Absolutely delicious. The food was sensational and the service top notch. We did find it a bit pricey $195 for 2 adults and 1 kid. 3 entrees, 3 mains and a sundae for our kid. 2 beers and a soft drink. However due to the delicious food and amazing service we would definitely go again.

   I've seen Top Taste restaurant for years in passing and now regret not dinning out there sooner. Staff were friendy and efficient, food was of excellent quality and nice surroundings. I had the classics of chicken and corn soup (to start) and sweet and sour pork. Both are what you expect and tasty. My partner had satay chicken with noodles, tasted wonderful. When food is ordered you can get a small or a large. Small was fine for a person. We did see the large portions and they would be perfect for groups to share. Nice going Top Taste, I'll be back.

   Great authentic Cantonese food, catered to fit NZ taste even better. Their sauce is like magic. Owners are very friendly people that can enjoy a relaxing chat and share a few laughs. Top 2 best restaurant in Porirua City.
