One of best meals of my life, insanely good. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but great menu, very fast service, and incredible flavors. Highly reccomend.

We had an incredible dinner at Dragonfly in Wellington! The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was stylish yet cozy. We ordered the ginger chicken dumplings, sticky pork belly, chicken popcorn, and the dark chocolate dessert β every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience or night out with friends in Wellington

A Memorable Dining Experience Worth the Wait and Every Dollar I recently visited this bustling restaurant tucked away in a lively part of town, and despite its discreet signage, itβs well worth seeking out. Itβs located right next to The Shady Lady Bar and Night Club so keep an eye out, as you might miss it until youβre right in front of the door. This place is clearly in high demand, always buzzing with activity. I had made a reservation several days in advance, and even then, it was challenging to secure a table in my preferred area the courtyard. Fortunately, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my request and managed to reserve a cozy spot for two. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. I was especially impressed by how organized their reservation process was. They sent timely reminder emails and even followed up for confirmation the day before our booking, something I really appreciated. Now, onto the food: everything we ordered was served warm and full of flavor. The sticky pork belly was a standout, easily one of the best Iβve ever had. We also enjoyed the pork dumplings and the Katsu Sando, all beautifully presented and equally delicious. To finish, we shared the Vietnamese mousse, which was the perfect end to a fantastic meal. This spot is ideal for couples, groups of friends, and families alike. While the overall experience was excellent, do note that itβs on the pricier side, so be prepared for a higher bill. That said, for the quality of food and service, itβs absolutely justified. Highly recommended. Iβll definitely be back!

An exceptional dining experience! The menu is designed for sharing, so we got 2 small and 2 main plates (+ rice) to share between the both of us, which we found was the perfect amount. Everything was fresh and delicious. The flavours of the sauces were very rich, meats that melted in your mouth, beautiful fresh veges. I loved everything. I'd definitely recommend the Japanese Golden Curry and 55 Day Aged Beef Short Rib in particular. The food is on the pricier side, but it was well worth it. Love the decor and moody lighting, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. Staff were friendly and very attentive. They provided excellent service. Highly recommend!

Had a awesome experience at Dragonfly. Busy night as Wicked and Beervana are in town but waiting staff friendly, efficient and professional. Was a little dubious about being seated in the garden area as it was cold and wet, but the area was well protected and heaters blasting, so warm and welcoming. The food however, was outstanding, good portions, good range and absolutely delicious. A little expensive but worth it, plenty of cheaper places around but you definitely won't have anywhere near the same sort of experience. My friend and I had a wonderful night and would love to recommend to others.

Really lovely Welly restaurant in Courtney place. The cocktails were yum, half price for the classics. Service was great we had a two hour slot allocated and food was delicious. The mains are really generous.

Busy place with amazing food. Even though the place was full on a Friday night, exceptional food and excellent service. Was really impressed, would definitely recommend for an Asian infusion of flavors.

I've been here twice now and the first time was amazing food wise. We can back again a month or two later and this time the fried chicken was dry and tough compared to last time. The chocolate mousse dessert has both times been amazing, I would recommend sharing it even though it is small as it's very rich and delicious. Staff are friendly but a few times they walked off before I could order a second drink but that's ok. One thing I have with this place is they only give you chopsticks which is fine except for trying to eat the fried rice we took turns using the serving spoon to eat it in the end. Restaurant is beautiful inside but we always seemed to be placed in the very front of the restaurant not in the middle with the lovely mood lighting. I would also recommend not booking for 5pm as that's their opening time and beforehand they won't let you in and then there's a stampede at 5pm.

What an amazing experience, who knew that this amazing place with the most beautiful sceneryβs and the most relaxing vibe, could be tucked away behind such a busy street. The food was outstanding and customer service was top notch. Look forward to dinning here again.
