“This was my first time dining at Loretta and dining at a restetaunt in general, as I get incredibly nervous eating out due to my allergies, but it was a fantastic experience!!! The staff were so lovely and accommodating towards my allergies – Ruby and Anna were incredible – tripple checking everything to make sure it's safe. “Absolutely flawless, perfect 5 stars! Despite arriving quite late, around 8 pm, I was greeted warmly by the staff, all with genuine smiles. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating available. The menu was impressively extensive, and the staff graciously guided me through the options with clear explanations. Opting for (Hainanese) chicken rice, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived promptly in just 5 minutes. The presentation was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavour, complemented perfectly by the fresh and crispy fried onions, freshest sliced cucumber and the subtly tangy soy-based sauce. The homemade chili sauce was also very authentic and a delightful touch. The accompanying chicken soup was also delicious and showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. At $22, the meal was not only delicious but also amazingly good value. Both the attentive waitstaff and the friendly chef made me feel incredibly welcome, leaving me eager to return. With so many enticing dishes left to try, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”

“We had a really beautiful lunch at the Japanese restaurant upstairs here. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were exquisite - and super fresh! The menu has a good range and the staff were very friendly. The set meals are quite generous. Go hungry or share, which is what we did. 5 stars.”

“I recently tried a prawn curry, and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so well-balanced, with a perfect blend of spices and creamy coconut milk. The prawns were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy in every bite. It's easily one of the best prawn curries I've ever had, and I highly recommend it!”

“A hidden gem right in the heart of the city. You’ll miss it easily as it sits on the 1st floor and only noticeable from the menu and sign board which leads you up a flight of stairs. This place has been around for such a long time and it used to be a haunt with my mates during our uni days which was a couple of decades ago! A great selection of food and they don’t disappoint. What I’m impressed is that the consistency is still the same from day 1 and portion sizing is generous. They have a toilet available but you’ll need a key behind the counter and it comes with a super large keychain! Since nothing much has changed, the place is slightly run down and would definitely benefit from a little makeover.”

“We got the $44 buffet hotpot deal which included all you can eat lamb, crab stick, tripe, vegetables, tofu and noodles, plus the most delicious homemade steamed buns. The initial portions were so generous we didn’t need to ask for more, and all the ingredients were delicious. The service was excellent, very helpful when we were deciding how much to order! “This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area (possibly in Wellington). Their food is well prepared and delicious. I tried the chicken sola —which is classified as a ‘starter’— and it has a full dinner’s worth of chicken, and it has a kick! The fried poppadom is so tasty and the garlic naan is GREAT. My family loves the butter chicken, especially my son who orders ‘Butter the Chicken’ off the kids menu. The only curious thing was how three people in my party ordered butter chicken and each person’s butter chicken came out in staggered order, my wife’s, then my daughter’s, and then my son’s. It was all extremely tasty, though, so no worries.”

“Wow it was great better service than we got last week at Logan Brown. The guys are fab and the food was authentic and delicious.Excellent meal thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Authentic Italian food. Far better atmosphere than the competition. I had the antipasto platter which was plenty for four and really tasty. Salmon and spinach fettuccine was fab and our guests had a steak and the NY meatballs. Definitely worth a return trip.”

A friend recommended this restaurant to us & we're so glad she did. The staff & service were great, as was the food. We were seated & served promptly & all told, it was a 45 minute experience from being seated to leaving, yet we didn't feel at all rushed & we left wanting to return. I definitely recommend as a must try restaurant.”
