I have eaten here for more than 10 years, my feeling of flavor and services are still remaining as the first time while I walk in this restaurant.
This Chinese restaurant has veganisable options, and despite them not being labelled in there menu, the staff know what veganism is. I highly recommend their Yu Xian Mushrooms They have plenty of seating available, excellent for large groups
We were told this is the best Peking Duck in Wellington. And we think it’s true. A delicious experience - 20 homemade pancakes, duck cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and friendly. Best to book in advance as the dish takes an hour to prepare. Our new go-to when in Wellington.
1. The serving pace was almost Michelin-level—after finishing the first dish, we waited ages for the second one. 2. I ordered the crispy salt and pepper prawns. But they served the wrong dish. They said “sorry” and just placed the wrong dish on our table! 3. Halfway through the Dongpo pork, we noticed long strands of pig hair all over the meat. After speaking with the front desk, they took the dish away and later said the kitchen staff hadn’t noticed. 4. To be fair, the service attitude was quite nice—they kept saying “sorry” the whole time. 5. In the end, the mistaken dish wasn’t discounted, and they even charged for the takeaway container. We definitely won’t be going back
We got the $44 buffet hotpot deal which included all you can eat lamb, crab stick, tripe, vegetables, tofu and noodles, plus the most delicious homemade steamed buns. The initial portions were so generous we didn’t need to ask for more, and all the ingredients were delicious. The service was excellent, very helpful when we were deciding how much to order! Highly recommend for Beijing style hotpot in Wellington

Fantastic food and service. Great traditional steamboat hotpot, one of the best in Wellington if not New Zealand.
Great experience here: the hot pot is traditional Beijing Style with fresh sliced lamb roll. Please remember to pre-book the duck when booking the seat, we only could ordered the half duck as we did not pre-book the duck while calling them. The duck is really crispy and the meat is so tasty. Highly recommend.
2 stars because the staff was amazing. The food was really bad. Not just bland but sour. Only two items were good and it was because they were cooked fresh. Spinach with garlic and spring onion pancake. Would not recommend not for the cost of each dish.
