   The best eye fillet steak of 2025. Cooked to perfection, served with wood fired roasted tomatoes. The steak was incredible. Tasted great and so easy to slice. Paired with an NZ Syrah wine I was in food heaven. An absolutely beautiful meal, yes its expensive but wow its worth every cent. And the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly.

   We flew to Wellington for Valentine’s Day and stayed at the Sofitel, so we thought we’d check out Jardin Grill — and luckily we did! Both of the Valentine’s special cocktails were amazing. My partner ordered the fillet steak (with the bone marrow butter) and absolutely loved it, and my fish dish was also really good. We actually enjoyed it so much that we flew back the following weekend! We asked if they could make the Valentine’s drinks again, even though they weren’t on the menu anymore. The bartender did such an incredible job recreating them with what he could find and had left, and they turned out perfectly — honestly the highlight of the night! My partner again ordered the steak (and it was just as good the second time), and I had the pork belly which was also delicious. Both visits were such a great experience, I had to leave a review. Highly recommend if you’re in Wellington — we’ll definitely be back!

   I recently visited Jardin Grill for dinner, and while the experience was overall enjoyable, there were a few things worth noting. The ambiance is fantastic, with a cozy yet upscale vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff was attentive and friendly, which added to the positive experience. As for the food, most of the dishes were beautifully prepared and full of flavor. However, I was slightly disappointed with the pork belly. I remember it being one of my favorites from last year, but this time, it tasted noticeably different. The seasoning seemed off, and it lacked the rich, savory flavor that made it stand out before. That said, Jardin Grill still offers a solid dining experience. I’ll definitely return, but I hope they revisit the pork belly recipe.

   If you're a non humanistic individual, look elsewhere. What makes the Jardin Grill exception is humanism, the learners, the experience, the tattoos and the skill. If you're a perfectionist who is unable to embrace the intellegince, save the exceptional staff the experience of 'you' and look elsewhere. Table 20 is recommended if you want a front row to an amazing culinary experience watching the chefs. The wait staff are amazing. The food was good, flavour wise was taste dependent but never less than good. The oysters are beyond compare, a culinary delight. Our compliments and recommendations, especially to the wonderful attentive head chef and the wait staff (bar manager was also a star!). Our warmest, the oyster lovers at table 20.

   Second time dined at Jardin Grill and the experience was as fab as last time! Staffs were welcoming and friendly, steak was cooked to perfection, and we shared a super delicious opera cake for dessert as we were so full after the main. Definitely a place for special occasions!

   Breakfast @ Jardin Grill. . Food at Sofitel Wellington is served at the French restaurant Jardin Grill. The kitchen takes pride in serving well-executed, exquisite dishes, everything I had here was excellent. . Ingredients are fresh, and dishes made to order with just a short wait. The limited seating means the restaurant tends to be fully booked, and advance reservations are recommended. . The Egg Omelette is a typical breakfast dish, comprising of between 2 to 4 whisked eggs, stuffed with a variety of ingredients then folded. Here, the ingredients include spinach, button mushrooms, tomato, and mozzarella cheese. . Sprinkled with some cracked black pepper, served with crisp fresh lettuce with vegetal sweet flavour on the side. . The egg omelette has a fluffy gooey crisp texture, carrying eggy sweet savoury salty cheesy peppery spice flavour. . The Scrambled Eggs Breakfast is a hearty meal. There's creamy soft scrambled eggs, here dressed with micro-greens, with eggy sweet savoury flavour. . There's a large slice of soft spongy sourdough bread topped with butter, carrying lovely bready sour sweet buttery flavour. . There's tender soft baked fava beans in rich tomato sauce, with vegetal earthy sweet smoky flavour. . There's crisp potato hash browns with starchy savoury salty sweet flavour, tender pork back bacon with smoky meaty salty savoury flavour, and snappy juicy pork sausages with meaty savoury salty flavour. . The scrambled eggs breakfast is a filling meal, and its versatility of ingredients result in many different variations.

   Top notch of everything. From the decor to the food and the hospitality. Love every single elements Jardin grill has to offer. Attention to details on the food were just brilliance and quality. Though the silver water jugs does need a wee bit of rinse.
