I showed up on a Saturday with my car completely dead, and they helped me super fast. The mechanic quickly identified the problem and replaced the battery on the spot. Efficient, friendly, and really professional. I’m so grateful for their help. Absolutely recommend!

Used this workshop for warrants many times with no problems. This time, I picked up my truck after a WOF and was given a $320 bill without any call or text to approve the work first. The guy at the front desk was nice enough but a few jobs that would have taken me about 30 minutes at home and apparently took them an hour.
Customer service at Midas Te Aro..this is a review regarding one staff there Perry was his name. Upon retrieving my vehicle following the replacement of front brake pads and discs, I continued to experience a grinding noise during braking 2 weeks later. Despite my expectation of a resolution, the service mechanic indicated that they did not detect the noise during their test drive. I attempted to convey the intermittent nature of the sound. The manner in which I was addressed created the impression that my account was being dismissed. Furthermore, my inquiry regarding the potential for this issue with new brake pads was not directly addressed. Why would i bring my car there on my days off if nothing was wrong ith the brakes. During the test drive, the Perry displayed signs of frustration, particularly when I opted for an alternate route. A second incident occurred at a traffic lights where Perry instructed a turn into the Salvation Army carpark, causing me to react. I communicated my concern, which he became frustrated, resulting in him physical pushing my reversing mirror and the slamming of the door upon exiting the vehicle in frustrating. I became very upset with his reaction . I have had good customer service from other branch Wellington and never experienced this. This is just directed to one staff member at Midas Te Aro.
Had an up and down experience with this garage but ultimately the outcome was okay. The car had no issues when we took it in for a diesel service, but at the end of the day the garage team couldn’t get the car to start, which was alarming. We were only passing through Wellington so the owner’s wife did what she could and got us a night in a backpackers at mates-rates which we appreciated, and the following morning the owner came in on his day off and sorted out the issue (something to do with bleeding things thoroughly) and we were on our way. Overall the owner and his wife handled the issue well, even though the garage caused the issue, and we are grateful the owner came in on his day off to help us out.
Staff amazing, my husband took our car in, really comprehensive. I would say the receptionist needs training. Spoke on the phone so rude, did not care about anything.
Excellent service. We had to work with a third party as well and they all worked well together keeping us informed the whole time. I would highly recommend them to anybody for car service
Will absolutely take my car back to these guys should the need arise. Such and awesome experience overall. Can’t recommend enough.
The mechanics were really nice and talked me through what was required and why. They were wanting to give me the best deal possible but also explained the alternatives. I didn't feel talked down to like I have at other places in Wellington. Will definitely return.
