   Motor Doctor used to be my trusted go-to for anything to do with my car. Yes, their prices were on the high side, but at least I felt I was paying for peace of mind. Unfortunately, that confidence has been badly shaken. I went in with a rattling noise from the suspension. They told me the rear shocks needed replacing (something they had flagged earlier in January). I agreed, ordered the parts, and paid their premium price — expecting the issue to be fixed. But when I picked up the car, the rattling noise was still there. I went back, took time off work for another test drive with them, and this time they said it would take yet another $600+ and a full day of work to replace more parts. To me, this feels unacceptable. I paid $550 upfront on the understanding the noise would be resolved, only to be told after the fact that more money is required. If they had been upfront about the possibility of additional repairs, I could have made an informed decision and budgeted accordingly. Instead, it feels like I was misled and left out of pocket with the original problem still unresolved.

   When I asked them to replace the bulb in my car, they told me the price was $47 and I agreed but after replacing the bulb, when I asked for the bill, it said $72.39. When I asked them the reason, they told me that the rates have increased. I was shocked that the rates changed within a few minutes. Before getting any work done here, be sure about the rates

   Dropped my 1996 vs Commodore in this morning to the team at Motor Doctors. Will definitely be my new regular , very trustworthy people. Managed to get my car back the same day with problem diagnosed and resolved. Very grateful to the team , highly recommend and I thought was a very fair price. Thank you Motor Doctor !

   We came to Richard and the team as our usual mechanic was busy. Great service all round, kind staff, rang & texted to let us know when the car was ready, faster than expected. Richard was lovely and let us know 2 of our tyres needed replacing also. Highly recommend!

   This business has very high standards, has a tidy & organised reception area & a large workshop. I was impressed that they display framed copies of their qualifications on the wall. They were willing to work around my time schedule & the car was ready when they said it was going to be. The price was excellent. Having years of experience with both the Ngaio branch & now the Johnsonville branch, I highly recommend the Motor Doctors group to anyone.

   Really disappointed with the service received, didn’t get enough oil added and poor service overall. Should have stick with my usual mechanic. The bottom line for any business should be open and honest, don’t waste your time and money with this machenic!

   Very professional and nothing is too much trouble. Car manufacturers recommended a specific product be used and not something they usually carry. Dealership didn't have it either but they found some and got it delivered same day. Appreciate the effort. Ryan is a trustworthy mechanic. No unnecessary costs just safe and reliable car maintenance.
