“Since John took over, this pub has gone from strength to strength. He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! “I frequent Panhead Tory fairly regularly as I live near by. Always love the beer and appreciate trying something different than their standard can range. Food is very good too. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.”

“Not sure why, but every time I attend a gig here, this kid in booty shorts tells me I'm too drunk to be served. It keeps happening. Quite annoying because every time I want a beer I have to leave the premises, go to Hotel Bristol, order from a grown-up, sink my drink in like 90 seconds then head back to San Fran, hoping I haven't missed too much of the set i've paid good money to see. I'd recommend some staff training.”

No menu offered but warm gestures by the bartender with his wide knowledge and play magic to the create the tasty cocktail based on your preference. “Crumpet is such a nice place for having a drink and small talks or deep conversations. The vibe of this place is so good and relaxing, especially with the candle on the table. However, when the shop is full of people, it is getting a little busy and noisy, but it still provides good vibes. For the crew at Crumpet, they are very knowledgeable in making the drink. We ordered a drink based on our own taste, and they made it so good! Overall, Crumpet is recommended!”

Would recommend for: -Corporate entertaining -Date nights -Solo treats -Small gatherings The only thing to elevate this to flawless would be to have a mixologist to tie in the Vietnamese flavour profiles. We wouldn’t have left, and the bill would have happily been tripled.”

“What a cool little bar. Locate the sign on the street and walk up the stairs. The entrance has no real sign, there is just a closed door and when opened reveals a funky bar. Cool atmosphere, would be great in winter on a cosy winter night but we enjoyed it on a hot summers night. Just stopped for one drink but wish we could have stayed longer.”

“Absolutely loved this restaurant! There was a 12$ special from 4 to 6PM the night we went. The service was exceptional and there was such a nice atmosphere. The pasta plate did not deceive and I would strongly recommend this restaurant.”

“My partner and I usually go out once a month for dinner to restaurants around Wellington and we were delighted with this place! I have a gluten intolerance and the staff member that served us was super accommodating! I absolutely loved the cocktails, I had a tropical one with an ice block and a toasted marshmallow screwer. My partner had a yellow curry and I had the Bangkok Street Noodles and they even gave me some peanut sauce as I could have soy sauce and it went perfectly well with it! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be back! Thanks for a great night and experience!”

“OMG the "Pasion Ardiente (Burning Passion)" cocktail is the absolute BEST! Can ask for it to be less spicy if you want. Have never had such a delicious cocktail before, apart from my usual Pina Coladas. 1st time here, can't wait to come back. Great staff, atmosphere, and food looked amazing. We just came for drinks this time.”

“We hosted our book club in the upstairs room on a Monday night and Colin was super helpful, so accommodating and it was a good central spot for those working in town, while still feeling like we could escape for a couple of hours! We worked our way through a few of the non-alcoholic beer and gin offerings too; appreciated having options for those driving.”
