“WOW view from this awesome spot. Priceless.”
“Great short walk, worthwhile if your out there”
“Dont change it,do not plant anything else it doesnt need it”
“So close to the city but so far away! Awesome spot for a reset and a chill out.”
“Gorgeous clean waterfront playground with lots of varied things for the kids (and grown ups) to play on. Musical instruments. Slides and swings. Sandpit with digger. Agility course. Covered areas when it’s hot.”
“park with lots of room and things to play on”
“This is a great space to work out. Aqua Aerobics every week day. Learning pool for children and a hydrotherapy pool. Very clean. Well maintained. Life guards are always on duty.”
“We were on a school trip, and the kids loved it. Warm enough to not get cold, but not too warm either. Lots of fun activities for kids, and saunas and spa pools are wonderful, a little bit expensive but well worth it. 5 stars from me”
“I think this is the best playground we encounter for small kids. Our grandchildren enjoyed it a lot.”
“Boat ramp to launch onto the lake. Great views across to Mokoia Island.”
“Very cool park with great shaded areas”
“A muddy trail with sometimes going off trail cause of fallen trees. The orange arrows make it easy to follow the track. It was a hard walk with a lot of meters up. But beautiful nature. You can fill your drink bottles in one of the little water streams. As long as water is running it's all good. And it taste yummy as well.”
“Nice little park within walking distance of Gate Pa shopping centre. The playground here has good activities for kids from 1-10 including slides, trampoline, swings and a climbing net. It is relatively quiet, and has a nice sealed walk way around it which is good for bikes and scooters. There is a good parking spot behind the park just off Church Road if you prefer to avoid parking on Cameron Rd (or if it is full). The park is also very accessible - both with the aforementioned walkway (footpath from Cameron Rd all the way to each of the play areas) and a wheelchair accessible picnic table. Also good for pushchairs.”
“Well kept paths and gardens and you can hire a golf cart if needed. Cute ponds dotted around and a good variety of healthy looking birds. You can buy small bags of bird feed and we saw lots of adorable chicks. The cafe is great and we enjoyed THE BEST Devonshire tea I’ve ever had in New Zealand. All staff are friendly and helpful. Would visit again.”
“Great green area with nice kids play area. Used a lot by people with dogs, maybe needs to have a doggy poop bags stand and a bin next to it. Well maintained and a fab zone for suberbia.”
“An awesome place to stay. We've been before the flood x 2 , great hosts. Immaculate ground and facilities. Highly recommend”
“On the day of our visit, the weather wasn’t really on our side – but it turned out not to be a problem at all. Marnie, with his great energy, explained everything clearly and concisely before we set off on the walk. We actually ended up spending about half an hour longer than estimated, simply because we enjoyed it so much. Along the way, we spotted many black teals and swans, as well as cormorants and other interesting birds. The path also takes you through a beautiful redwood forest, which made the experience even more special. I understand it may not be for everyone, but I believe anyone who appreciates nature will find the entrance fee well worth it.”
“New fencing upgrade makes this great for events and dog walking.”
“We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful which was appreciated. The security was brilliant with keyed access only and a car park which was undercover and secure. Location was close to shops but far enough away to remove ourselves from the crowds. A leisurely 5 minute stroll down to all the restaurants and bars which was great. 2 min walk to beach - amazing. Thanks for hosting us and see you again soon”
“Great hosts, great room, awesome common room, convenient for business purposes, although a small desk would be useful.”
“I've experienced the enthusiasm of Abbey, to the degree that I forgot I was only at an initial stage. I lost my presence of mind. She is not a witch, thus cannot cast spells, but her demeanor is spellbinding. Choice lady”
“Someone give these people an award. Absolutely beautiful setting, truly stunning home and hosts that could not possibly have been more accommodating. Amazing food, a super friendly black Labrador, and a great chilled out vibe. They created a total sanctuary for our family & I can’t recommend them enough.”
“Beautiful trees, shrubs etc and a swum in the creek. Freezing cold and lovely”
“Scenic water side area. Great place to bring the kids, walk the dogs or just bring out the folding chairs and picnic table for a lovely picnic. Great shade under the trees. You family won't want to go home!”
“Love it, our family go here often when we just want to cool down on a hot day.”
