    Nice beach.

So close to the city but so far away! Awesome spot for a reset and a chill out.

Much of Panepane is beautiful plantation forest and has significant cultural and heritage significance to Maori. Panepane Point is at the entrance to Tauranga Harbour. We've sailed past this beautiful south-eastern tip of the forested part of the Matakana Island many times; beautiful forest and banks along Matakana!

Stopped here to cast some lures in the water, as we saw the birds going crazy chasing fish. As soon as we got there, the birds settled and the fish disappeared.
