A muddy trail with sometimes going off trail cause of fallen trees. The orange arrows make it easy to follow the track. It was a hard walk with a lot of meters up. But beautiful nature. You can fill your drink bottles in one of the little water streams. As long as water is running it's all good. And it taste yummy as well.

A good 4 hour circuit but there are no views. Nice mix of bush, bogs and river crossings.

Henderson's South is an interesting trek to the North/South track, but need to keep checking the track markers, as there are some slight detours which can be confusing, and a couple of misdirections due to some boggy sections. The North/South summit section said 30mins which was wildly inaccurate - it took us more like 45 mins at a fair pace, and we had actually started to worry we'd missed the turn off to the Henderson's North trail. (We knocked off about 30mins on each of these timngs hence we were worried we'd gone too far on the summit track. Unfortunately no views over either side but a nice moderate track.

Started off at the Henderson Tramline West Track, just by the bridge on Old Kaimai Road. The car park was a bit overgrown and took a while to find the track. The track itself was very overgrown, but came across a sign showing I was on the right path. Found some orange triangle markers and followed across a stream and then an overgrown path on the right of the stream up river. Eventually found the path totally blocked with fallen down trees which were more than I could clear and no way round. Followed a small side track down to the stream, then upstream to a waterfall. Someone had carved Angel falls into a rock, not sure if that's what it was called. However there was a large clear pool of water below the falls, great for a dip on a hot day. There was no way past the falls so made my way back down the stream over the rocks until I joined the path back to the car park. I would have liked to have completed the circular walk, however I would have been totally lost trying to force myself through the undergrowth.

Approximately 12kms of easy walking. The sign said it was an advanced track. However, there was no step climbs or hard descending. The track was mostly easy to follow with standard orange markings to direct you. Parking was good. There was small water crossings on the day we walked the track. It could change and water crossing could be bad. Because the track is a loop. You have to walk along the road to get back to your car. The track seemed to be popular and for the hunters, there was signs.
