“Really tidy, well-kept gym with heaps of gear spread across a few different rooms – cardio lovers are especially spoiled for choice. Any time something breaks, it's usually fixed pretty quick, which is awesome. The staff are always friendly and up for a chat if you need a hand. The pool, spa, and sauna are a solid bonus – feels like a mini holiday after a workout. Only thing I'd change? Wish the opening hours lined up a bit better with my schedule – I'd happily pay extra for 24/7 swipe access. Otherwise, Ocean Blue gets a big thumbs up from me!”

“Very nicely appointed rooms. I don't tend to fall asleep easily but the bed, pillows, and linen were perfection and I slept better than I have in months. Location is great, a very short walk to shops, eateries etc... Bonus points for the fair trade hot drink provisions and the Forest and Bird toiletry products. Definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again.”

Getting There Getting to Poripori Water Holes is pretty straightforward: Park: Find a spot in the gravel area along Poripori Road. Cross the River: You’ll need to hop across the Wairoa River. It's good to wear some shoes. Follow the Path: Look for a narrow path that leads you through some rocks and bush. There is also a path through the forrest. A bit hard to find when you go there. Easier when you go back. Head Left: Once you’re through, take a left to find the water holes. What to Expect Swimming Fun There are several swimming holes with different depths, so it’s great for everyone—kids and adults alike! The water is nice and refreshing, perfect for those hot days. “What a great campground! The pool and facilities are beautiful, well maintained and clean. I wasn't sure what to expect after the previous review but I was actually amazed with how nice and clean everything was and the bush behind makes it so tranquil! Lots of cool details including the swimwear dryer in the ladies changing room. Definitely keen to come back again!”

“Having moved gyms when I moved to this area, I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff and also the patrons. There are so many classes to join, many different areas of the gym in which you feel comfortable with and a great friendly atmosphere. It is more expensive than other gyms, but I think it's worth it if you make use of the classes, gym and the pool area. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The only thing I would like is 24 hr access by a tag...not to the pool area but to the main gym as 7pm at weekends and 9.30pm is hard if you do shift work”

“This is a great space to work out. Aqua Aerobics every week day. Learning pool for children and a hydrotherapy pool. Very clean. Well maintained. Life guards are always on duty.”

“We were on a school trip, and the kids loved it. Warm enough to not get cold, but not too warm either. Lots of fun activities for kids, and saunas and spa pools are wonderful, a little bit expensive but well worth it. 5 stars from me”

“I called to get tech to come visit to resolve air lock issue. Advised could send ok bit to try a tip they had first and if didn’t t work call them back. The tip worked so I really appreciate the advice and have to leave review that’s just bloody great service thanks. Buy my vortex spa filers here too.”

“It was a bit above my regular budge, but well paid for a nice, very clean and comfortable studio apartment. We had great view and all the conveniences we needed around us. I'll definitely consider to come back! Staff was very friendly too.”

“We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful which was appreciated. The security was brilliant with keyed access only and a car park which was undercover and secure. Location was close to shops but far enough away to remove ourselves from the crowds. A leisurely 5 minute stroll down to all the restaurants and bars which was great. 2 min walk to beach - amazing. Thanks for hosting us and see you again soon”

“Stunning, quiet, peaceful location with easy access to Katikati and Tauranga. A high end, purpose built B&B at affordable prices. Beautiful gardens with sun rises and sunsets to view while enjoying your cup or glass of something on the huge sheltered decks . Hosts are exceptional and breakfast fresh, nutritious and plentiful. This was our second stay and we will be back again.”

“Kidiwise is the best daycare around! Our friends in other areas are so jealous of what our son gets up too! It’s not about being the top looking with fake trees its about kids being kids, creating, building, exploring their own native bush weekly! Pony rides, hatching chickens and swimming in the spa! We can’t recommend kidiwise enough we love the imagination it lets our son have and the teachers who support him.”

“Super clean and spacious. I stayed in a studio & it had its own private patio out back. The thermal pool was great, the grounds are immaculate. Really friendly and accomadating hosts. Carpark is right in front of your room and the wait for uber to location is not super long (less than 10min when not peak). Would stay again.”
