   Nice and quiet campground. Well laid out and good sized campsites. Fairly priced for the fact that it has spa and hot pools. The only griefs are it has only 1 small communal kitchen with not much kitchen utensils/pots to use so if you come here, you need your own utensils and possibly your own way of cooking in your camp as the kitchen could be very busy with all the guests cooking/eating/preparing because theres only 1 kitchen sink with not very functional taps, 1 three burner cooker and 1 communal fridge/freezer. Ammenities are also less central, so if your site is at the very end, theres a fair walk to any of them. There are also not enough showers and toilets to cater for all potential guests, 2 toilets for women and 1 for men with a wall urinal, all within the changing area plus 1 external shower by the kitchen. They did however allowed 2 of the private spa pool area toilets to be used to accommodate only after 10pm. Driveway is also an issue as it is not ideal for long vehicles pulling in or out of the premises safely, very steep with a hairpin turn half way and doesn't allow any flat surface for vehicles to safely pull in back to the main road.

   I didn't get to stay here. After the lady on phone tried to get a commitment from me in the way of a booking I got suspicious and asked for cost. Sure enough $60 for 1 night and 1 person on a pwrd site. Maybe charge different if we choose not to swim.....especially when its so hot at the moment. Especially considering the large amount of freedom camping spots in the area.

   Camped here for 5 nights. Kitchen is small and basic but has all you need. Could be a bit packed if the camp was full though as only 1 stove and 1 sink. 5 stars for the tranquility and lovely hot pools to soak in. Beautiful spot so close to the city.

   On the 31st of October, I visited Fernland Spa & Campground for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. I truly enjoyed the beautifully warm mineral hot pools — the water was exceptionally clean and refreshing. I was also impressed by how tidy and well-maintained the entire facility is. A special mention goes to the convenient swimsuit dryer — such a thoughtful and practical feature for guests! Thank you to the friendly and welcoming staff for making my visit so pleasant. I look forward to returning again soon.

   What a great campground! The pool and facilities are beautiful, well maintained and clean. I wasn't sure what to expect after the previous review but I was actually amazed with how nice and clean everything was and the bush behind makes it so tranquil! Lots of cool details including the swimwear dryer in the ladies changing room. Definitely keen to come back again!

   Nice little camp to stay at. Friendly gent assisted us on arrival with everything we needed to know. We did not actually use the kitchen or shower facility as we were only staying overnight and have washing facilities in our camper. However the sites were lovely, with power and water and a little picnic table. the use of the pools was included which was great and was one of the reasons we stayed. We will be back for sure.

   Loved the private spa. It is big enough to fit a big group of people. The staff were super friendly. The main pool looked smaller than expected but I didn’t go in it - just saw it from afar. Looked great though

   Beautiful hot springs pools and gorgeous campground with exceptional family friendly facilities on the outskirts of Tauranga. I would give it 5.5 stars for the amazing swim tog spinning machine to get your swimming gear dry. Plus spring drinking water is lovely.
