“Mosgiel pool is a most excellent family destination, years in the planning turned out to be really worth the wait. Lane swimming, family fun areas, aqua jogging and and spa pools all well appointed.”
“Great company to deal with from the very start. When our build plans were delayed they were happy to store the spa for us until the deck it was to sit on was completed. Installation was quick and hassle free. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, definitely recommend.”
“Incredible! If you can't swim, if you think you can swim, if you can swim JC coaching will help help you improve! Great feedback and progression every session. 100% recommended”
“Although the pool is working under level two and there is no showers, drinking fountains or spa, I am grateful that they are open. The staff are extra welcoming. There are restrictions on numbers in at a time, this is to keep us safe. I like that you can buy a multi ticket and get a good discount.”
“Just had spa water test done. Very friendly and quick”

“Canoe Beach in Dunedin is a quiet, underrated coastal gem that offers a peaceful escape from the busier beaches nearby. Tucked away along the scenic coastline, it has a uniquely calm and secluded atmosphere that makes it perfect for anyone looking to unwind, explore, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of Otago’s shoreline. The beach itself features smooth sand, scattered rocks, and stunning views across the water, creating an ideal setting for photography, leisurely strolls, or a moment of quiet reflection. One of the standout features of Canoe Beach is its sense of tranquillity. It’s rarely crowded, even on warm days, which makes it feel like your own private slice of the coast. The gentle waves and sheltered feel make it great for families, casual swimmers, or those who love sitting close to the water with a book or a picnic. Wildlife lovers will appreciate the birdlife and the occasional sighting of seals resting on the rocks. Because it’s close to Dunedin yet slightly off the main paths, it strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and natural serenity. The surrounding walking tracks are an added bonus, offering scenic viewpoints and opportunities to explore the rugged coastline. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Canoe Beach has a way of slowing you down and reminding you just how beautiful this part of New Zealand really is. Overall, Canoe Beach is a peaceful, charming, and highly worthwhile spot—perfect for anyone seeking a quiet coastal retreat in Dunedin.”
“I walk there in November, the smell of the sea mixed with the blooming flowers was amazing. Simple wild beach, loved it .”
“Pacific ocean views, seal lions lounging, volcanic rock formations brought to you by Monarch cruises and their knowledgeable staff, especially Will.”
“This is my favourite place to walk.Nice sea views!! After your walk there are heaps of choices for cafes.Lovely coffee and sea views at the Salt Water pool cafe.”
“Stunning views of the peninsula and ocean, with dramatic cliffs and erosion formations. The trail is easy, but close to cliff edges at some points so be careful. And there are sheep. Who doesn't love sheep? The road to get there is a narrow dirt road. I would avoid it in the rain, in an old, manual van.”
“Lovely beach. Safe wee area and then extends around the rocks, goes on for a very long while.”
“Beautiful caves after just a short walk down the beach”
“Spectacular trees, and nice place to chill out”
“Lovely place to spend a sunny day, all ages welcome”
“Comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the sea. I slept like a log to the sound of the waves and woke up to an amazing view. Recommended.”
“A good walk (3h return) with ups and downs following the Taieri river. Can be slippery, as the terrain is patched with rocks.”
“Beautiful facility, lots of equipment that caters to each body part. Love the row machine and the cross trainer. Really good quality machines! Probably the best I've been on, in terms of gym equipment. Does get packed, just need to find that moment that is suitable for your needs. Thanks Unipol!!”
“The rugby field is well-maintained, featuring a lush, even playing surface that enhances game performance. The goalposts are sturdy, and the markings are clear and visible. Spectator seating is ample, providing a great view of the action. Amenities like restrooms and concession stands are conveniently located, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere during matches is electric, with passionate fans creating an ultimate sense of community. Overall, it’s an excellent venue for both players and spectators alike.”
