“A muddy trail with sometimes going off trail cause of fallen trees. The orange arrows make it easy to follow the track. It was a hard walk with a lot of meters up. But beautiful nature. You can fill your drink bottles in one of the little water streams. As long as water is running it's all good. And it taste yummy as well.”

“Nice little park within walking distance of Gate Pa shopping centre. The playground here has good activities for kids from 1-10 including slides, trampoline, swings and a climbing net. It is relatively quiet, and has a nice sealed walk way around it which is good for bikes and scooters. There is a good parking spot behind the park just off Church Road if you prefer to avoid parking on Cameron Rd (or if it is full). The park is also very accessible - both with the aforementioned walkway (footpath from Cameron Rd all the way to each of the play areas) and a wheelchair accessible picnic table. Also good for pushchairs.”

“Well kept paths and gardens and you can hire a golf cart if needed. Cute ponds dotted around and a good variety of healthy looking birds. You can buy small bags of bird feed and we saw lots of adorable chicks. The cafe is great and we enjoyed THE BEST Devonshire tea I’ve ever had in New Zealand. All staff are friendly and helpful. Would visit again.”

“Recently Maui at the Seafood counter went absolutely over and above to make sure I had a fresh kingfish to fulfil an order I made. He was professional, kind and did such a wonderful job not only filleting and skinning the fish, but making sure I got a fish that was the correct size for my needs. Im very greatful, as I had already enquired multiple other places before I was able to find someone who could fulfil the order. Thank you Maui!
