   We stayed in the private penthouse which was amazing but the hotel itself is run down. The outdoor spa water was putrid, the indoor one was empty and had rubbish around it. Yuck.

   First impression of the room was great and was easy access with great parking but was very shocked with how very little communication their was about spas that were listed online but further inspection water was freezing in both spas and their was no controls for spas whatsoever and upon talking to hotel staff I was told it was warm the other day and that it was just unfortunate. Pretty piss poor service if you ask me if they ain’t working just communicate that’s all people residing want to hear.

   It appears to be what were retirement units for old people but now being let out as hotel rooms. It's very simple and basic and feels like it hasn't been touched since about the 80s. Very close to the Mount though, which is a bonus. I recommend you unplug your fridge if you don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night by hideous buzzing noises. Parking was provided, and the key fob gets you around everywhere, it's not a terrible place to stay, but I'd rather pick somewhere else before I had to go here again.

   We we unable to make it down due to the Auckland flooding and state of emergency. Staff were so kind and quick to review our circumstances and waiver the entire cancellation fee. Erica was so helpful in giving me all the information I needed for check ins and cancellation. Excellent staff management and customer service. Will definitely be rebooking again soon.
