Very yummy food with a wide range of vegetarian, no-allium options. The waitress was very attentive and kindly recommended local places for us to visit.

Take away. Some of the worst value I have had anywhere. More review to follow later

We had this recommended to us from a friend in Katikati so went along for a birthday meal. For a Wednesday night it was 50% full of diners so that is good going mid week. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the hist and staff were most pleasant. The food is priced reasonably and cooked to order in the kitchen. It was well presented in that typical Thai way and we wanted it hot it was in that Thai tangy warm the face way. In fact you could also have it cool through to super hot if you desired. We enjoyed our visit, the service, the food and left feeling satisfied

If you are in Waihi and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Thai Lemongrass is a must-visit. My wife and I recently dined here and were thoroughly impressed by both the flavors and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. We started with a Mixed Appetizer platter, which offered a delightful variety of crispy spring rolls, dumplings, and skewers. Each bite was fresh, well-seasoned, and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sauces. For our mains, we tried the Spicy Fried Rice and Tom Yum Soup. β’ The Spicy Fried Rice was perfectly balanced, with a rich depth of flavor and a kick of heat that we absolutely loved. It wasnβt overwhelmingly spicy, making it an enjoyable dish for spice enthusiasts without being overbearing. β’ The Tom Yum Soup stood out for its subtle tanginessβunlike many versions that are overly sour. This one was beautifully balanced with just the right amount of citrus, spice, and fresh herbs, making it incredibly comforting and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly, and the portion sizes were generous. For a small-town gem like Waihi, this restaurant delivers an authentic Thai dining experience that rivals those in bigger cities. If youβre in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Thai Lemongrass for a delicious meal that will leave you planning your next visit.

My son and I love this place. The food is amazing (hat off to the chef) it's packed with beautiful flavours that work so well together and the portions are generous, made with fresh produce and presented beautifully. The aroma is mouthwatering. The owner Gaye, (hope I spelt that right) is so lovely and personal and the service from the lovely waitress Sarah is always friendly, polite and genuine, can offer recommendations and is such a beautiful, kind girl. Gaye's niece is also very lovely, polite and has a beautiful face that lights up when she smiles. These lovely ladies know how to take care of you. The atmosphere is homely, warm and comfortable. HIGHLY recommend the vegetarian Tom Kha soup, the Satay Chicken, Beef Fried Rice and Cashew Stir Fry with beef. This is now our once-a-week date spot. Cheers Ladies, for always making us feel welcome!

Where else can you order a variety of meat with any Thai dish?! Fantastic! Properly cooked Scollops and duck dishes! Exceptional service, thank you.

Thai lemongrass have a great range in their menu and the food and service is great. We prefer to order for takeaway personally as as good is the food is, the restaurant space itself is small if you're in a group of more than 3 or 4. It could do with a bit of a freshen up, which would definitely add some ambience. That said, the dining room is clean, service is prompt and friendly, food is served quickly and is definitely delicious. They also offer a very affordable lunch menu

Not sure what all the good reviews are about!? Maybe we lucked out tonight... Vegetables in the soup we're undercooked, nearly raw, prawn spring rolls that were meant to be wrapped in rice paper weren't, instead they were just supermarket ones. over priced entrees, tiny amount of food. Wont be going back

When we arrived this place was empty which was a surprise later when we ate the food. I had the spicy noodles which were great. The portion was a good size: not too small but not too big. The service was excellent. It's definitely not a budget meal but it will not break the bank either.
