“We experienced this lovely Bakery when we delivered the leadlight door for repair last week. We decided then to return for a lunch (had coffee and scone/cake first time). Wonderful service, fantastic restful environment with some vintage radio from the historic village radio station. I had the wrap and the doughnut . Diane had 9also the doughnut) and what she described as being "fantastically light, delicious pie"”

“Great pies by very friendly Vietnamese owner!”
“I've been coming here for a couple of years now. I must say that 3116 produce the best cheese scones ever! I've travelled throughout NZ and tried various cheese scones but these are simply delicious. Home made everyday by the lovely owner herself. A must try, but leave some for me!”
“Great place to shop or grab coffee and a bite to eat at one of the many cafes or restaurants. Gusto has the best Eggs Benedict around and Luca is highly recommended for coffee, ask for Dimi, she'll sort all your coffee needs.”
“My wife had heard about this place through a patient of hers and had sent me the link as a place we must try. We finally got out there on lunchtime. My Coeliac wife was tempted by the Gluten Free sweet treats in the cabinet and I opted for a burger. We were initially confused as to who was staff in their plain clothes, and there seemed to be quite a few of them, but they were very friendly and polite. The food was exceptional. We really enjoyed the flavours in both the sweet and the burger, which were quite different to most places we visit. The coffee was also really good. We will gladly return to try other dishes on the menu.”
“Best date scones in town! You can call ahead to order and save time. Shelves are always stocked and a good variety of options. Owners give great service too.”
“Fabulous Shop, Fabulous Clothes and Fabulous Staff!”
“Went to the Black caps match - love watching cricket at this ground being your own picnic chairs and mats; there are lots of food options or byo snacks for a great day out”
“We loved how friendly the staff were and the food was delicious. The singer created a great vibe which made us want to stay and drink for longer. Highly recommend.”
“Lovely experience here, they were busy but still took care with the orders. We got a banana bread slice and a scone, both toasted, both delicious, fresh and perfectly made. Our coffees were also yum and well made (Long black and flat white). We highly recommend this place for a light lunch and a coffee. The perfect quick stop in the middle of The Mount.”
“Took a small party out for my wife's birthday. The food was great, and served quickly after ordering. I particularly liked the kumara fries! Was a great recommendation from the owner. Service was exceptional, you can tell when someone actually cares about their patrons. It showed in the number of people inside the business. It was a rainy Sunday evening and the resteraunt was at capacity! There was live music and good vibes in abundance. Despite being busy the proprietor checked on us multiple times, and once the live band had finished and a few people had left a table cleared inside which he offered to us for a more pleasant experience. Thank you for the hard work, we will be back!”
“Stayed for a couple of nights, it was a nice comfortable room with good heating, good TV, and it's in a good walking distance from everywhere i needed to go. The staff were great and friendly, one staff member was kind enough to drive me to the airport when I was having trouble getting a taxi”

“Service was outstanding. We were asked if we needed more drinks and they were brought to us without a long wait. Staff were friendly and informative with ordering food from the island bar next door. Food was excellent. Our table ordered tacos, pizza, wings and burgers. We didn't have to wait long either. Maybe 20 mins which I thought was reasonable as it was very busy on both sides. Atmosphere was great. You could pick to sit in either a booth, bar leaner, couches or outside tables. Bathrooms were clean and easy to find. Not suitable for children however the Island bar next door is fully decked out for families and large groups as ruby's is a smaller space. Menu prices were reasonable aswell and the drinks were real, not watered down/cheap booze. Although there is plenty of parking, it does pack out so pays to car share to save any hassle.”
“Always love stopping at this Waipuna Hospice op shop. Tidy and well presented. Car park needs help though.”

On the plate at Blackberry Eatery BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER, the idea is classic fish‑and‑chips and well judged. Value feels fair for the quality. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch. Portions are generous yet well judged.

“Well kept paths and gardens and you can hire a golf cart if needed. Cute ponds dotted around and a good variety of healthy looking birds. You can buy small bags of bird feed and we saw lots of adorable chicks. The cafe is great and we enjoyed THE BEST Devonshire tea I’ve ever had in New Zealand. All staff are friendly and helpful. Would visit again.”
“This is the place to go to watch sports live n enjoy yummy food n beverage. Great place to boogie down, especially when they have a band. If it's too hot, u can walk out the back n sit down to enjoy ur beer. Very awesome drinking place”
“My newest and best Local find. Tucked into the corner near Event Cinema. Took the family and now colleagues, several times and it's always consistently great. Wonderful service and well priced food. Great Happy Hour too. Also has the best Kids Play Area. We also go to their weekly Pub Quiz.”
“Great coffee every day! The dine in food is delicious and packaged slices and biscuits to go are always so yummy!”
“The place itself is fantastic! A cute little village vibe to wander and engage with local artists and businesses. Unfortunately we went to the cafe and I chose the salmon quiche- which turned out to be a bacon quiche. There was no salmon in the quiche at all, just the one piece on the top. So our dogs enjoyed a treat, while I got a bad taste in my mouth about the Cafe there.”
“Awesome Traveli Fish, large portions. Good old fashioned way. Highly recommended.”
