“BirdCare, in Greenbay, are good at taking care of sick, injured birds. I've taken a few native birds in over the years. They could do with more voluntary contributions of donations, which helps take care of the birds, either a money donation or frozen bags of mixed veges, like peas, corn, carrot..”

Our cat is sassy and very feisty but the staff were patient with her and understanding of her needs. They took care of her, monitored and gave her medications. “Took a friend here yesterday with Kayla the pup. Prior to going had emailed for information on immunisations. Prompt friendly response from staff. Phoned to book and staff friendly and happy to help. Great staff and very reasonably priced. Visit calm and friendly wait, vet gentle with pup, picked up heart murmur explained it well. Good checkup, information on behaviour management. Suggested puppy schools and trainer. When to worm etc. Loved the backpack/front pack idea for walking around Mitre10 and getting her used to all sorts of people and noises. Great reminders about not putting pup on the ground where unvaccinated dogs Iggy have been, due to high rates of parvovirus in Chch at moment. I’m going back here to get our girl backup to date health wise. Thankyou”

“I used to take my cat to Vetcare on Great North Road. I was pleased to find that when that business closed, all my pet's records had been transferred to Auckland Pet Hospital. Recently, my elderly cat's health failed. The staff were super efficient, highly professional, and kind and caring as my cat had reached the point where his life was ending. I am very grateful for the empathy given to me as I shared the last minutes with my cat, which had been my constant companion for so many years. Lots of thanks to Auckland Pet Hospital.”

They were so kind and accommodating, even carrying our girl around so she didn’t feel too much pressure.
