“Definitely a hidden Gem of Indian cuisine in Henderson. I popped in last night for a feed and a pint and once again did not disappolnt Great friendly staff nice drinks selection”
“Me and my partner tried this for lunch special first time yesterday very very tasty and the staff are very lovely our new go to for Indian food”
“Delicious freshly made pasta in a beautiful Gorgonzola and walnut sauce. A lovely glass of wine to go with it. The salad was less inspiring, but it is the middle of winter. Thoughtful, friendly staff made for a pleasant meal for one.”
“Nice Italian restaurant with GF Pasta and Pizza. Pasta portions are huge, I‘ve struggled eating up the main size and ordered this time an entree size, which was a full size portion too. Also nice Italian wines to go with your meal. I can recommend Sangovese. Definitely a nice place to dine in. Bookings might be helpful as this place is well visited”
“The wood-fired pizza was so delicious that after finishing one, we immediately ordered another.”
“First German restaurant for me and I have to say: I will come back. Me and my partmer had the plate A and even if it looks big, if you’re hungry don’t worry you’ll eat everything. Loved the sauce and the smashed potatoes, reminds me of my grandma’s one. I like the fact that you have tomatoes, coleslaw and other salads on free service. We also had the tab german beer and nothing to add you know just a tab beer. But the owner is really kind and gave us a good experience. Boyfriend here, I’ve been to Berlin and the taste is familiar. I vouch for this only german restaurant in West Auckland. Traditional I love it”
“Best chorizo tacos in NZ. A must try, especially because they make their tortillas in house.”
“Everything’s just awesome. Paella and the steak pizza are so delicious! Must-order edit: enjoyed the experience so much I went for a second time in less than a week”
“Not only is the food at Sake Nippon Bar delicious, but the portion sizes are ideal. We ate a range of dishes, but my personal favourite was the chicken katsu. The chicken was fresh, flavourful and crunchy. The service is excellent. Food is served promptly. The atmosphere is conducive to conversation. However, on other occasions, it has been quite loud.”
“Second time here after few months and Wayson remembers us by telling us how many people we were last time and where we were seated. His service is amazing the food is well priced and super yummy. We will be back and we highly recommend this place.”
“Sarah and her staff are very welcoming, personable and super friendly and helpful. They get to know their customers needs which is rare in some Cafes. The Chefs cook great tasting meals. The food is always delicious! Coffee, 5-Stars”
“This is a wonderful place with a lovely ambiance, featuring a park filled with sculptures. The food and wine are amazing. We were warmly welcomed by Maori cultural performances, which was truly awesome.”
“I visited this fine wee establishment today while out riding my motorbike from Cambridge to Auckland and back. What can I say... the staff were so friendly and accommodating. As I'm on a rather strict diet, I didn't eat anything, but the cabinet food and food service looked so appetising and yum. The service, well the owner should be very proud of his staff, they work with purpose and a smile... loved it!! And the atmosphere was quaint rustic charm, spot on!! Not only highly recommended, but definitely a must visit again.”
“Gorgeous restaurant with fantastic mood lighting. Service was impeccable from the initial welcome to the food servers. Food – oh my yummy! We had tomatoes and ceviche for starters, then rib eye and ribs for mains with cauliflower for sides. Every dish was delicious and good size! Super enjoyable!”
“First time visiting this restaurant tucked away in Takapuna. Glad I had my local son with me to guide me to parking and then the restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful. We started with chicken skewers and the pork belly. Both delicious. Mains were a t-bone steak and costillas (beef short ribs). Portions are generous and came with a side and a sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. So much food we had to ask for containers to take food home. Our waitress brought us separate containers for the salads so they didn't wilt. She also provided tongs to pick the salad up. Just felt she went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend although someone told me earlier in the day it was expensive. This carnivore mum was delighted with the meal and thought excellent value for money.”
“Cannot fault anything!! Food was amazing , beautiful! Big call , but the Pork ribs and Moroccan Lamb chops and the best I've eaten! If your passing through Orewa , this place is a must visit ✨️”
“Absolutely the best Sushi place in New Zealand by far! Flavour is on point! Fillings are such perfect ratio to rice! Nice large pieces! The price is fantastic! I hope they never never never close shop!! That would be a crime and not a world I’d want to live in. The owners are so friendly and genuine too!”
“I’ve eaten all over the world, at places ranging from down to earth and fancy. This is easily one of my favorites—there is a perfect blend of restaurant food and a home cooked meal vibe, all in a reasonable price. We eat here regularly and it is the highlight of the work week. Highly recommended to everyone!”
“Never noticed this place before however when walking past, the smell of delicious food pulled us in. The food was fantastic, we had Chicken Green Curry, Thai Style Gao Pad Chicken and one other dish my partner can’t remember the name of. All were so good! The guy serving us had good chat and made dinner really enjoyable. All washed down with a Chang beer made for the perfect dinner. Well priced. Heaps of locals picking up takeaways show it’s really popular so will definitely be back.”
“I was here Friday 19 April with a group of 12 from West Wave. The food was fantastic. I had the best pizza in about 20 years! Also a great atmosphere and lovely staff. I forgot to take the photo of the ice-cream after I had eaten ⅔ of it already.”
“Had the tanto sushi lunch that happens once a month for around $60+ pp. The experience was very authentic and was one of the best authentic sushi that i've had in NZ. Most of nz sushi is Americanised and sweet and although taste good I still prefer the just fish with rice. All the dish here had a lot of natural taste to it but taste very delicious. The sushi ingredients was fresh and I especially love the sweet potato tempura. The tempura reminds me of a place in Japan where they focused on the item being fried to bring out its naturalness and the batter was just a light batter that doesn't overwhelm whats inside. The sweet potato tempura was the best and had really nice texture. Overall very enjoyed the meal and experience and highly recommend for people to treat themselves and come here.”
“First time coming here for dinner and meal was great. We had the bento boxes which were great value and the tempura udon was tasty. The sushi was freshly made and tasty as well. Will definitely be back again.”
“Price is reasonable, variety of sushi for customer to select n pick. Yum yum. Will go again if I pass by Mount Eden.”
“Ok so if your looking for the best sushi train ever then you've found it. Man o man this place is amazing. The food is fresh and chock full of flavour. The popcorn prawns is next level. The crab dish was to die. Everything is priced as expected. The staff are friendly and fast I will go back for sure”
“Love the place. The food was yummy. Drink menu is just great, loved the mud pot drinks. We tried the chicken wings and chicken nachos and both were yummy. Must try.”
“I'm from Texas originally and moved to Ohio, and when I tell you this was on par and better than a lot of Mexican food from Texas I'm not trying to fool you. I just got off a 19.5 hour flight and took a shower and was looking for something to eat. Found this place and had the fish tacos and lamb tacos and my goodness, I thought I was happy just making it to New Zealand, if the food is anywhere as good as this place I'm going to be willfully much lighter in my wallet. So good”
“Went in yesterday for a burger and fries and honestly was so surprised at how much I loved the food. I had a dirty something smash burger and my partner had the spicy chicken burger; both were so tasty and good value for money. Wanted to bring my sister who was fresh off a flight but didn’t make it before closing, will be coming back next time we’re in Auckland for sure Lady who worked there was so so nice too, would recommend”
“Had a fantastic dining experience at Daphne. The highlight of the night was definitely the woodfired market fish dish — a beautiful combination of clams, mussels, prawns, and fresh fish that captured the essence of the sea. Every bite was a burst of oceanic flavour, delicately balanced with herbs and seasoning. It felt like a celebration of fresh seafood done right. Also really enjoyed the pork belly skewers — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, paired perfectly with the pickled rhubarb and fennel. A great contrast of textures and flavours.”
“This is my favorite kebab shop in Auckland and finally had the chance to dine in instead of taking away. The back of the shop had plenty of space, allowing me to enjoy my meal while it was still warm. Their food, already great, tasted even better fresh. The staff was kind, and overall, this place stands out from other kebab restaurants. Highly recommend!”
“Best turkish food in Auckland, if not the country I would say. The lamb in particular is succulent. The cocktails were amazing too. Highly recommend!!”
