So so so yummy. The food was amazing and each dish was made really well. We had the fish pie, tuna, fried shark, shellfish and cevice. Every one of them were absolutely delicious. Lively atmosphere and uniquely decorated.
The service was really good too, the staff we got were friendly and chatty enough, so service was very good.
I couldn't recommend it enough. Definitely worth the price.

I've been coming to Plato from time to time for years. I have always thought they were very good but tonights meal has just elevated them to the best restaurant in Dunedin (for me). The new menu (don't know when it changed) was excellent. We had 3 drinks, 3 entries, 3 mains, 1 side, and 2 desserts. Each dish was superbly presented, tasted amazing and surprised the pallette e.g. Pork Belly and Clams in a curry sauce, shark and squid, or Licorice Ice-cream. The portions were large and no one left unsatiated.
The service was fantastic with the ambiance homely and unpretentious. I really loved that they had multiple fish options; Mackerel, Gurnard, Tarakihi, Tuna, shark.
I can't wait to go again.

Food and service was 10/10. Probably the most friendly service I've gotten in Dunedin. However the restaurant got too loud for me. They sit you all next to each other, rather than spread out. But restaurants do that I guess?

Such an awesome experience!! Such a cool place you always have something to look at with all the knick knacks! The staff were just so lovely and helpful, the food was incredible, I'll be honest it was very pricey.. the cocktails were very small for over $20, my steak for some reason tasted like it had been marinated in salt and the bill blew my socks off. Other than that 10/10!

Loved this restaurant. Everything was just brilliant. The staff are so lovely, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was sooooo good, the flavours were amazing, everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. My coffee was really good. The decor is so kitch and amazing. Definitely put this great restaurant on your go-to list when you are in Dunedin.

Came here a while ago with my husband in a company trip and everything was beautiful!! Food was amazing as well as the friendly service, great atmosphere with unique decorations around, I will definitely come back again if I visit Dunedin

Amazing place to have great, delicious seafood dishes. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The mains meal portions are exact and are a delight. The came with sides which complimented well the dish. Portions are large and good for sharing. Ambiance of the place is lovely and different, showcasing memoribilia by thr counter making a hidden gem of location to enjoy excellent food and drinks with loved ones. Itβa a place one can definitely keep coming back to.

This place is amazing with 'bring back memories' feels. The food is delightful with good old family size servings..you won't leave hungry.
