   Our favourite place to dine for special occassions. A long time first choice over the years, guaranteed personalised service every time, knowing all meals will be delicious with great, quality cuts of meat. Saskia booked our table of two for her 18th and was excited to be legal with ID and finally be allowed to try the homemade Lemoncillo. Delishing freshing. This restaurant introduced her to asparagus last year and she loved it. My meal this time was not a fillet but lamb rump on a pumpkin puree with quartered beetroot and feta with pumkin seeds and kale crisps. Devine. Love that this year there was a surprise birthday card for Saskia and complimentary Foccaica and Aioli as a starter before our Entrees. My go to are the Arcini Balls. Love our dinners by candlelight. My fave restaurant in all of Hawke's Bay with consistently great personalised service and authentic Italian food.

   Very nice Italian food and selection of Italian and NZ wines. Good customer service stands out these days and we felt very welcome. The aged beef fillet special was delicious, the texture was perfect, and the poached pear dessert was a highlight.

   Here is a little slice of Italy and no need for a passport! This charming Italian restaurant in the centre of Napier is the place to be. With 30 years of history, it’s easy to see why this local gem is still sparkling. Our group of 11 ladies was warmly welcomed, and four of us had special dietary needs, which were handled with ease. Between us, we sampled a generous selection of dishes, each beautifully presented with creative flair and incredible flavor. The owner himself took care of us, making the evening both seamless and entertaining. The ambience was lovely, with elegant decor and charmingly amusing sayings on the mirrors that brought plenty of smiles. Authentic, passionate, and absolutely delicious—this is Italian dining at its best. Whether for a romantic dinner or a lively group gathering, this spot delivers. Trust us, we’ll be back!

   Front of house was very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I ordered pretty much half of everything on the menu just to try it all and we weren't disappointed. Everything was exceptional but my favourite had to be the ravioli. A+

   We stumbled upon Trattoria alla Toscana on a quiet night. There was only a few diners who looked like regulars. We weren’t expected much but really taken by surprise how fresh and tasty all the ingredients used. The Calamari Fritti was perfectly cooked. The Beef Carpaccio was simply delicious. All the greens were really fresh and coated with delicious olive oil. Even the aioli was super tasty! The Seafood Fettuccine was stunning with every piece of seafood tasted really fresh and juicy, the sauce was scrumptious! But the star of the night was the Fish of the day, which was a humble Snapper. It was a simple dish made with the freshest fish and vegetables, true to italian style. The accompanying special side dish Baked Beetroot with Balsamic and Feta was perfect. Trattoria alla Toscana has a very good chef and all the dishes were better than a lot of the expensive Italian restaurants I have tried in Sydney, and all over the world. I highly recommend this little gem in Napier. Even though a chilly quiet autumn night, we felt the sunny Tuscany and joy eating the food.

   Very hard to fault. Started with Arinchini balls, then mains my wife had raviolli and i had seafood fettecene, stunning flavours on seafood dish that lasted well after eating it. Had to have desert, i went Tirimasu, sensational, wife had lemon tart, loved it. Waitress was awesome, great experience and well priced for what we received.

   My husband and I had an enjoyable experience eating at this restaurant. The food was superb, the wine recommendation was on point and the place has an amazing atmosphere. It was a pleasure dining here. Highly recommend the Lasagna, the spinach and ricotta pasta with sage butter sauce and the desserts. Delicious.
