This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to - I get really lovely service every time. Very Kind staff. And the food is delicious. They cater to lots of dietary needs respectfully. Definitely my go-to, highly recommend!
First time visit and traveled up from Waipukurau after work……. Greeted so friendly and ordered our takeaway, 10 minutes I was told….. went out to my car and wow ever so quickly the lovely man was outside my car door with our order!! Vindaloo Goat Curry, Chicken Korma Curry, Rice snd Roti bread Back home in Waipukurau it was still hot and absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend this Indian Restaurant and we will be back soon……. Thank you 10/10
We always feel welcome and the food is by far amongst the best in Hawkes Bay! Just wish the restaurant had a little more background music for atmospheric pleasure. Thanks team! Always a joy to spoil ourselves and indulge in your devine cuisine.

Maybe the butter chicken was a little bit too sweet, but everything else was perfect. The music was authentic and quiet, adding to the ambiance. Go to the Star of India, you won't be disappointed!

Was looking for some dinner last night and I found this place...I haven't had Indian food for awhile..so I brought me some...very lovely and not too hot with spice...very quick service...
