“Nice people....Great and wholesome food.....to be honest I over ate but it was worth it”

“This place has been around for years use to walk past in my teens and use to order takeaways in my younger adult days. Now in my 40s we visited from Christchurch recently and stopped in for dinner, and owner was there and greeted us (swear she hasn’t aged). Food was delicious and plentiful we couldn’t eat it all so took some home. Support your local restaurant and this lovely family from the Hutt”

“The food is nice but quite expensive. There’s a minimum requirement of $600 if you need to use the small chamber. Anyways the food are fresh and portion size is okay. The chef has performed good standard in preparing the dishes. My fav are the Paua and steamed fish, tender, soft and a lot of flavor. The oysters are jumbo size and are super crispy and fresh.”

“Authentic Kerala Cuisine! We have been missing that in Auckland and had an amazing experience. The ambience, service and food presentation is amazing. The flavours are aromatic and traditional. Friendly staff and we just felt like eating out in Kerala. Kids are surprised and excited by the Robot. Wanted to try a lot more but the portion size is really filling. Will surely be back to try the rest!”

“We came, we ate, and then we ate a lot more haha. SOOO many dishes today and I was honestly surprised to have so many that I could call my favourites. Some of them felt a bit like Chinese fusion such as the yellow prawn curry, but the variety all worked. What tasted like bbq teriyaki pork to beef with rice cakes to the sweet n sour fish, all of it would want any day. Their main dining area has loads of tables, but when you've got a group, opt for the truly private rooms in the back that either have their own toilet. Lastly, they've also got a mini fridge in these back rooms for you to grab whatever bottled drink you want and they'll count them up at the end just like a hotel room.”

“Formally Dragonboat, it was wonderful to see the restaurant open on Saturday night. Special mention for Felix, who always remembers us (and our favourite drinks). An absolute credit to the business and hospitality industry. Much loved Chinese restaurant for Asian flight crews. Very well deserved. Booking for large groups is recommended as most of the larger tables were reserved.”

“Always busy and full house restaurant. Famous with their reasonable price of lobster ($158 today). Even my North Shore's friends came to here, to have their famous lobster! But be prepared for the loudness of the busy restaurant. Everyone chatting loudly.”

“It's our first time, it was for a birthday party, live band was so awesome we enjoy and loved it alot, food was also delicious and fresh, totally recommended for small party, family functions or any occasions, it's our new venue to look at when we have our next celebrations. Customer service from one of the waiters and the Band, was so good, beautiful decor and settings.”

“Love the service in this restaurant : I think this is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in Dunedin. There is a buffet and a la carte. The Sichuan cuisine tastes very good. The pickled fish tastes authentic. My family and I come here often. The service is also very good.”

“Considering the subway store is in a fairly remote location, I can't really complain much. There was just one person working in the morning (around 9:30)and it was really busy. She made an amazing sub and was doing her best. People complaining about no smile no greetings, don't understand how it feels to work in a busy fastfood store managing hundreds of things at the same time.”

“Great value of my money! The big size can easily feed two ppl. Batter fish is fresh and crunchy. If you want to eat healthy, choose broccoli and pan-fried chicken. If you like spicy, don’t forget the chilly oil which is the game changer.”

“I used to skip this restaurant because of its low rating, but it completely surprised me — I was wrong! This is my second time trying their dim sum, and I felt compelled to write a review. The portions are generous with plenty of fillings, and everything tastes fresh and absolutely delicious. The salted egg yolk custard bun is a must-try, and the polo char siew bun were tasty. “I love this place. Absolute tradition for my family and I, whenever we're in Auckland to head to Denny's. Open 24/7 we've been there at all times. From 5AM, 12PM, 12AM. You name it. Love their breakfast menu, had there dinner menu and their juices. Always kind staff and banger food. Most of my relatives say other Denny's in Auck are better. But this one just makes my family and I nostalgic.”

“Good quality 100% vegetarian food. Plenty of parking available as well. Lots of space inside the restaurant ideal for birthdays, engagement etc. The portion food served is sufficient compared to what other people are saying in their reviews. Toilet / rest room was clean too. Will visit again. Highly recommended.”
