Amazing food - we loved everything we got here. Spent about $50 and it would have fed four people. Loved the biriyani, all the curries were great - I especially liked the lamb, and there was a vegetable korma style curry. Definitely would recommend this place for food.
I ordered jalebi from here and it was not what I expected. The colour wasn't even orange and it was way too sweet to the point where you could see sugar on the top. Was not a smooth flavour and I wish I could give 0 stars. Please find another sweets shop to buy your jalebi.
Terrible service, food, and very rude. I only ordered one item and he had overcharged me. He told me the price on the singular item but charged me a higher one. I was very quick on the paywave so payment went through before I could stop myself. I was going to say something but he ignored me and walked straight to the back. I decided to let this one go as it was only a few dollars. I have also had different staff ignore me and serve the people that just walked in despite me being first in line. They seem discriminatory to people that want to communicate in English. Food is also not good and tastes old/expired. I made the mistake going there a second time today after my first bad experience.
It feels like you’re being served just the flour, not an actual samosa. The outer layer is barely fried and tastes more like raw dough than a crispy snack. Totally unhealthy and far from what a proper samosa should be. Really disappointing.
Chaat! It’s a word which makes my Mouth water wherever and whenever I come across it. And had two within a week. How Dan you spoil chaat? Very easily it seems. But the chaat and Kachori at this small shop just off Sardingham road in Auckland restored my faith. Had Pani puri and loved it. Just one tip. Avoid the tamarind chutney. It’s from a bottle and not very good. And for the first time I saw they gave a green mint chutney too. Mint with pani puri? Maybe a Auckland tradition

Gave me expired burfi, tested weird, I understand products are expensive now days, but it doesn’t mean that you will serve expired products to the customers to save your cost and make profit. Not going here again
Amazing. We used to come here a lot before Covid, but haven't been for at least two years. It was excellent before, but is now even better. The place is redecorated and has a better range of food. The Palak Paneer is the best I have ever had. The Mithaiwala Thali is incredible value at $13.
Highly overrated!! Disappointed experience with Indian snacks and sweets, both. Yes, it’s cheaper than most Indian eateries around, but the Samosa chat, Papdi Chaat and Galebi we tried lacked taste BIG time! The Samosas filling had no taste whatsoever. And the papdi chaat was just 10 Papdi, chutney and sweet dahi served in a bowl. I think the “cooks” at Mithaiwala need to spend some quality time at a good chaat place in India and learn how it’s done. Such a big disappointment!!
