Felt that as pakeha we weren’t welcome as 4 tables of Chinese who came after us ordering were served first with steaming food and then we waited over 1/2 hours to get one vegetable dish and quarter of an hour later our meat dish then a quarter of an hour later our rice dish. The food was nice but we could have gone to the night market across the road and got similar food without the feeling we weren’t welcome. Sad really.

We ordered the live abalone, which was prepared thinly sliced with vegetables, clams with vermicelli, sweet and sour pork and fried flat noodles with beef. Overall well presented and tasty, but only if you don’t allow the dour mood of the manager to seep into your lunch. Not a food destination, only if you’re around and have tried everything else.

The absolute worst service we've ever received. Absolute thieves. Charging extra over the price of the menu. Screaming at customers in the restaurant. DO NOT COME HERE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!

I called in before asking if there was vacancy. The lady at the phone told me to just come in and cut the phone before I could say anything else. Luckily, I understand Chinese because she answer the phone in Chinese and replied in Chinese. When I got there, the lady immediately recognise me probably because I’m only one that arrives in one person. I’m okay with my Chinese but not too good and the people in service don’t know too much English they should really hire someone that knows Chinese and English. The cheese lobster was great. Lots of cheese. The oysters were super fresh with the vermicelli noodles. Just a lobster with the spring onion didn’t have too much flavour. I had a really hard time cutting up the lobster legs so I eat most of it and packed away the ones with shells. Go home and slowly crack them open.

The food is nice but quite expensive. There’s a minimum requirement of $600 if you need to use the small chamber. Anyways the food are fresh and portion size is okay. The chef has performed good standard in preparing the dishes. My fav are the Paua and steamed fish, tender, soft and a lot of flavor. The oysters are jumbo size and are super crispy and fresh.

We had Yumcha lunch on Sunday, while the food is good and tasty but they were super busy with only few staffs, poorly managed even they tried to accomodate but this is huge place, table wasn’t cleaned, we didn’t get cutlery, water, condiments, napkins. We have to wait long time just to ask for the table to be clean. FOOD Yumcha was Great, yummy, authentic and GOOD price! I will definitely eat here again maybe after lunch rush or when they hired more organised with more staff.

Except the fresh seafood sashimi and blue cod, other dishes were pretty average. The crayfish were over fried and too salty. There was too much corn starch in the clams dish.
