Probably one of the worst hotel restaurants I’ve ever experienced in NZ . Ridiculously overpriced, very poor quality food, badly cooked and presented. Services staff were lovely and tried their best but every customer looks disappointed they have their work cut out for them. Make the effort to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere or get uber eats
This place is shocking - absolutely avoid. Our medium rear streak came out like a barbecued jandal, packet mashed potato and gravy, and peas boiled so long they lost their green and were best suited to someone with no teeth. Kids got a meat lovers pizza, after wondering why it was taking so long a staff member walked through the restaurant carrying a domino’s box, the $35 pizza was from the $5 value menu! The kumara chips (also from domino’s) were missing aioli and when asked they served tartare sauce. Wildly disappointing meal for $155 - I’m sure we would’ve got a better meal from Waikeria prison.
Food took between 1-2 hours to arrive. Ridiculous. Expensive, average food too! The Four slices of garlic bread below were $18!!!
By far the best Holiday Inn we've stayed at. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the buffet breakfast was fabulous. A welcome experience after a long flight from San Francisco. Thank you
We had the buffet. It was NOT worth $48 per person and did not include all items advertised. The menu on the website suggested there were at least 5 seafood offerings but there were only mussels. There was no Yum Cha. fact there were very few items on the website menu that were at the actual buffet. While the menu does state subject to change, the menu and what was on offer were not at all the same. The service wasn’t great either, when we tried to order a drink we were told to go to the bar (which means leaving the restaurant). My partner wanted to order an espresso coffee, he was told to use the machine in the restaurant because ‘they were the same beans anyway’. I do not recommend. Perhaps try the menu at the bar.
The restaurant was cozy enough to enjoy the buffet with family ,and stuff was very friendly. The buffet was compact dishes , but very tasty.

our church mother's ministry had dinner here on the 15th of December and the place was great, the food (buffet) was delicious thanks to the chef and the team for allowing us to have such a great night and on top of that there was no time limit.
Service: Very friendly and welcoming staff. Venue: Tidy and welcoming with a choice of buffet or menu items. Meal: Other dishes looked really nice and were enjoyed by other guests however would not recommend the Goong Pad Sataw as smelled unappetising, prawns were overcooked and the rice was dry. Was not worth the price.
i have been asked to have dining with my ice hockey mates twice i have been declined. reason restaurant is closed.there were at least 50 people were dining at the restaurant. this establishment poorly managed. not enough stuff on duty..not sure about the food though i did not get the chance to try.
