    I really love this place. Its coll, calm, isolate and still have a lot of things to do. Kids can enjoy rides here and we can see beach as well. There are a variety of trails to walk through as well.

    A short drive of 15 mins from Auckland. Nice place to spend couple of hours doing fishing, playing with kids, flying drones etc.. Ample space for parking, variety of swings and slides, beside the beach/lake. Clean public toilets

    This is a beach I have been visiting since childhood. Huia is a fantastic place to hang out for people of all ages, though it would probably suit families more. Huia is a tidal beach, meaning it is always certainly better to visit during high tide as low tides can go pretty far out. The area contains a big grassy area with a playground and a nearby beach which is absolutely safe for young ones. However, I would probably be weary of the water quality level as the Manukau Harbour seems to always make the unsafe list. This beach, along with Whatipu are my two favourite Auckland beaches. They take you out of the city limits and into the heart of nature.

    This place is it!! Absolutely stunning. Great for a picnic and very kid friendly. The park is surrounded with a field and overlooks the most beautiful view. Toilets are always clean and plenty of parking! Would recommend 100%

    I stayed a night in the carpark at the toilet and off the domain. It also has an outdoor cold shower, flush toilets & rubbish bins for a nice picnic experience. There is a children’s playground, picnic tables & trees for shade. The beach is shallow for a long way out, for swimming. It can be noisy at night, with people having gatherings & music. The boats go past at 5-6am too. Overall a nice place to stop
