“Stayed one night. Clean tidy room. Only issue is the walls/doors arent very sound proof. Could hear the neighbour's talking outside in their car which was parked right outside my door. They weren't talking very loud but could still hear them.”
“Beautiful park, amazing view and a quality turf.”
“We like this playground. It provides confidence and stretches our grandchilds ability. It's handy for parking, toilets very handy. It's a sunny spot. Seating is available. Sports grounds next door. Good area for small children to play on equipment and large area for kicking a ball or running around”
“Always loved this place as a child, seen people walking their dog and there are toilets to use.”
“Happy with service and WOF, transparency of the workshop, efficiency and how as a customer I was treated. Would absolutely return and recommend. We came here due to a very negative experience with a dodgy workshop at the new car dealer we purchased our car from, and I learned the hard way those guys are untrustworthy and should never service a car outside of the initial service agreement.”
“Went to this place 2ce last week with 17mth old moko. Clean tidy child friendly place with play equipment that moko enjoyed! Cool bike path area too! Seating all around too x”
Bryant Park Takeaways favours a classic fish‑and‑chips mix with clear, clean flavours. Ribs and steaks arrive seasoned and tender. Fillets arrive fresh and the fry keeps clean. A sensible spend for the spread.
“Great Camp - Very Friendly. The Stream is Iconic New Zealand. Love it……”
“Best fish in town. Yummy food and didn't take long to cook. The lady serving on the counter is always lovely to deal with.”
“Two Rainbow slides, two picnic tables and one two seats swing. Lots of fun”
“Rhian Lang, the on-site manager is super helpful, someone who goes an extra mile. The team is very thorough with their check in process. The park although well-located right in front of the shore, it's a pretty 'packed' as they try to squeeze for more occupancy. Very little space allowed in between parking lots hence less privacy.”
“Great place good to see sport back on the rise after trying times”
“Ki o Rahi tournament. Wainuiomata is just the best place in New Zealand!!”
“Great park for a family picnic. So close to children's playground, toilets and swimming pool”
“Great park for dog walking. More bins have been added, but still an awful lot of dog poo not picked up. The man that used to take care of the stream beams has passed away, hopefully the council will take care of this now.”
“A great venue with numerous touch 7 games being played while there. Nice bar facilities with large area facing some of the grounds.”
“Great park for exercise and children love the park. A majority of locals come on a daily. Also has trees to sit under close proximity to park to have a picnic and keep an eye on your little one with public toilets close by too. A++”
“Beautiful park with lovely kept mature trees. Lovely to spend hot summers day underneath shade of different trees. Beautifully manicured lawn and water feature. Council does a good job keeping maintained. A lovely green park in Matamata - perfect for picnic.”
“Freedom camp here for 2 smaller campers, Stayed two nights. Far enough away from the road and close enough to CBD etc.”
“What a lovely stay! Compared to the stay we had last year the place is getting better and better. The decor is dated but clean and tidy. Fun playground for the kids and swimming pool with shade! Management were more than accomodating for our large family. We will be back next year.”
“It's an amazing place to rest, reflect and relax”
“We had a powered site for two nights (early October 2025). The bathrooms are very clean & tidy (plenty of toilets and showers). And there's a large kitchen, with a seated dining area. The hosts are very nice. Oh, the location is just behind the beach. And the caravan park is perfectly located = short 8min drive to the city (easiest parking for motorhomes is directly across the train tracks, from the Dunedin train station). It's a quick walk up over the tracks to access the train station AND the city centre. And 30min north-east of the caravan park is the Albatross Centre (worth going to). There's a "coastal route" and a "plateau route" = both are the MOST scenic drives you shall ever do in your life.”
“I’ve taken my kids to Auckland Adventure Park a few times and they absolutely love the luge and the 4D cinema! It’s a fantastic place for children aged 4 through to teens. For younger kids—especially those in preschool and primary school—it’s an amazing venue for birthday parties. Their castle-themed party room is a real highlight, perfect for children who love medieval and knight-themed adventures. For older kids, the zipline and VR games offer plenty of excitement too. Highly recommended for a fun family day out or a memorable birthday celebration!”
“Love the food trucks very nice variety and friendly people”
“Great shop, owner is alway friendly and happy to help, good off street parking, and they have lotto.”
“Stayed here for one night at one of their powered RV sites. The pools are clean and feel so nice, especially in cold weather/ rain. Showers are hot, kitchen and laundry room are great. Best Holiday Park we’ve stayed at. Very reasonable prices as well!”
