Best Indian takeaway In Dunedin. Alex is a real character and now friend after all these years of getting takeaways from him. Always consistent and so flavoursome.
Curries were great, however garlic naan and onion bhaji not good and let the place down. Naan seemed undercooked and had an unusual smell about it, and onion bhaji was stodgy and not crispy.
Quite disappointed about some of the food I ordered and hope the restaurant can improve their quality. I have ordered the food for me and my Indian friend and both of us are very unhappy about what we got. The garlic naan was very good but the chicken naan is dry and not tasty. Tikka masala and the lamb in platter was tasty but excessive amount of food colouring being used. Same with the biryani. It was too much colouring but not much tasty. The raita was too salty. Onion bhaji and samosa was good. The service is fast and the prices are very reasonable. I hope the restaurant will try their best to keep the quality of the food.
My usual take away restaurant. Favourite is kadai chicken. Portion size is comparatively good and tastes awesome.One curry is enough to serve two people.Garlic nann is a good combination with kadai chicken.
As far as Indian food in dunedin this is the closest you'll get. Each curry actually tastes unique and the quality is fairly consistent between visits. Only Indian restaurant worth visiting in dunedin Malai kofta is delicious, bhuna authentic, tikka masala creamy and vindaloo spicy. Portions are generous and for around 20 a person you end up with 2 days worth of food.
We’ve been getting takeaways from Chilli Dhaba and the curries have been outstanding. Very generous serving too and the takeaway containers are sealed! So professional. I really enjoyed their chicken Chettinad and Vindaloo. Their garlic naan and roti are nice and fresh. The staff are very warm and friendly and it’s great to meet the chef who comes out to wave and greet customers. Lovely smile. Highly recommend this place! We’ll definitely be getting more takeaways from them.
My local curry house and to quote Tina Turner, simply the best!!! Just the right balance of sauce, meat and veggies. Flavours are top notch with heat when ordered and not when not wanted. Delicious!
Best Indian takeaway in Dunedin. Having food from this place past one or more years and I never regrate. It's yummy every time. I tried a few other Indian restaurants but they always disappoint me. But not this one. It's a bang for every penny.
Best Indian takeaways in Dunedin, the curry taste delicious, soft naan and delicate rice. The owner is very humble and friendly. He provides excellent service to the customers. They have dine in service now.
