A fantastic little book park. Well designed. Layout absolutely superb.
Oh yeah great place to sit if the weather is nice, if it is grey it can feel a little bleak and oppressive just cause the architecture is kinda like mmmmmnn hardscaped and the sculpture kinda looks like an onion but think it's supposed to be like Russian style buildings????? Really accessible green space close to cuba street
Nice place for some respite from the city, have a coffee or read a book.
Loving the new design. A great place for a lunch break/catch up + is dog and skateboarding friendly. Don't forget to grab a cold one from Rogue & Vagabond whilst there if you get the chance. I have also been told the park is now set up for live performances (hopefully coming soon).
fabulous atmosphere, as most know, you cannot beat Wellington on a good day!
This sunny book is a great place to eat lunch or have a relaxing cuppa (and is often utilised by local university students on breaks for this exact purpose). It's also home to an interesting sculpture. Sometimes people like in the sun on the grass and snooze. Unfortunately, the local craft beer bar sometimes ropes off part of the grassed area to add to its licensed area, but if you want to have a beer on the grass you might consider this a bonus. The park is cheery even in dull weather due to the use of colour in the landscaping.
